It looks painfully bad.
Feels like Halo Infinite again.
Look at the details of the units, the arrows, the fire effects, the animations it looks super unfinished.
i am 31, been playing since Age 1 and RTS in general.
Difference is, Stronghold Warlords was made with a seriously dated engine from a very small team with low budget.
@PrinceXavieR i HOPE for a delay.
You don't want super realistic graphics for a game like this. It makes it very hard to tell units apart. Just look at WC3:Reforged, it has technically "better graphics", but the game plays worse because of them, its hard to tell what is happening when the action gets going and whatnot.
I've seen mentions of the 'large arrows', this is again, done on purpose so when you're playing you can clearly see what is happening.
More I see and learn about this game more I lose interest in it.
Compare it to Age 3 Definitive Edition, a game from 15 years ago and tell me it looks good.
WC3 Reforged is a terrible example, compare Age 4 to the all of the Age of Empires Definitive Editions.
Blizzard is dead and i fear, Relic is doomed as well.
15 years since AoE3: DE came out? That went quick.
Other than that, i like that you can finally put units on walls, the ambush tactics and the base packing feature for the mongols, makes me believe factions will be more unique.
