360 degree camera rotation?

Does this game have 360 degree camera rotation like AoE 3 had? I wouldn't mind being limited to rotating the game by 45 or 90 degrees only, nor by not being able to rotated the map at all, but I'm just wandering because I haven't seen any gameplay video with somebody using or showing camera rotation.

I also think I read that buildings cannot be rotated? True, they couldn't be rotated in AoE 3 neither, though that feature could have been enabled by some trick. :)

AoE 3 DE has rotate camera and buildings.

But does AoE 4 for have 360 degree camera rotation?

If i can answer your question well enough, it does have free 360 degree rotation horizontally. (Holding the ALT key and rotating mouse). It is not omnidirectional though if that makes sense. And there are buttons on the UI that let you rotate every 45degrees as well.

Thanks. But if I start the game with my camera looking from the south, can I rotate the camera horizontally so that I look at the map from the east for example?

Thanks! And is there a way to slowly/gradually rotate the camera horizontally, or we can just click and rotate it 45 degrees in a time (so that 8 such clicks would make a full rotation of the camera returning it to the beginning position)?

Yes, near mini-map there are two arrows for each direction. Pressing once rotates camera 45 degrees. They are also bound by default to the "[" and "]" keys, which can be changed.

Backspace on default hotkeys resets camera to initial position.

To rotate camera smoothly without 45 degree steps is holding Alt and moving mouse.
