turn off wonder victory for ranked...
wtf is this? age of empires II ranked NEVER allowed wonder victory, its boring, and promotes turtling.

wonders are an excellent part of the game. wonders are a valid way to win the same as conquest. if you want conquest only then play custom games. i've always felt what's boring is conquest only. having multiple ways to win isn't boring. what's boring is when you only have one way to win.

Except people cheeze the system. They tank their resources and the game ends in 20 minutes just as all the excitement is happening.

No need to get aggro after crushed by defense muppet. It promotes interaction, you have 15 minutes to stop it and it forces you to attack, or just get the sacred sights you silly goose. To stop a wonder win you have to be aggressive and take the game into your own hands, no different from a domination victory. Its cool, you got caught with your pants down and came to the forums to rant. We all been there.
