WASD Panning

Set this as normal panning control but doesnt work. Any fix?

Currently the only way to fix it for some people is restarting the game or starting a new mission or reset the tutorial if you first start playing.

It fixed for me after 2 campaign missions which is absurd xD

I first went in and edited the movement keys (look for the ones with arrow up, down, left, right ,and replace with WASD). then go to grid, it'll now have a error mark on WASD; i moved everything to the next avaiable letter to the right and it worked perfectly.

I recommend slowing the panning speed to 75% thou for keyboard.



That would result in you having conflicting hotkeys.. which would make no sense.
The Control scheme is very flexible, and well done.. while i agree WASD would been default, it's hardly a "effort" to simply rebind the keys.. most games generally should be rebound to fit ones preferences.

Do you have a hotkey guide. I dont wanna give up this game.

Go into Settings -> control -> view and remap controls -> Common keys. Now click on New Profile - > write profile name, make sure its selected profile on "Set Profile" top right.

In the key List under Common keys the first keys listed under Camera edit in from the "arrows" replace it with

Pan Camera up -W
Pan Camera Down - S
Pan Camera Left - A
Pan Camera right - D

Go to "Grid keys" in the Tab

The letters Will mark out W A S D as red.
Change W to E, E to R, R, T, T to Y Etc until your the conflict is resolved...

Click back and it should work.


Remember to click on Save in the Settings once you've exited the "View and Remap Control" menu.

I think you'd have a conflict if your grid keys + hotkeys are the same.. as in you'd trigger both camera and building effect on same?
Not entirely sure how it's built.. maybe if they made a checkbox to confirm if you want your grid keys to be priortiized over other hotkeys when possible.. but that's pretty much all the time.. so not sure that'd work out.

It is literally in the settings to change. First thing I did.

So you can move left with a selected villager without selecting a farm blueprint?

Yes you can. Just go into settings and rebind

Yes they work right away. You need to restart after you change binds.

For the record. You can just hold down ALT and then use WASD without rebinding and all of these issues.

You don't have to rebind. All you have to actually do is hold down ALT and use WASD on the keyboard. Hopefully we get a fix though. But I realized not everyone know you can do it for the time being. I also think SHIFT works but did not test it.

Hey,

kann mir jemand sagen wie ich die Tasten fréi belegen kann?
Ich will gerne die Kamera mit WASD bewegen, aber wenn ich ein neues Profil mache, die Tasten aus diesem Hotkey Raster rausmache geht es nicht.
Egal was ich änder, es geht nur mit den Pfeiltasten :(
