actions that appear in red or blue

hello people,
I have a question, I'm in my new game + and I just realized that I'm not sure if it has any effect on the story or the game itself when "stealing food" or stealing a car
you know .. that RED or BLUE light that appears at the top left of our character's icon.

And it does change outcomes

Unsure if specifics, but red is bad karma, blue is good karma

Understood, I suppose this means that eventually as the kilometers go by until the border, better things will happen if I have good karma, although I don't know if it is something quantifiable, that is, do I do two good things and one bad thing? I'm not sure, but I did hear from Jarod about Karma in a specific question I asked him.

Part of karma is when you have a percentage chance, like checking the trash for resources. Good karma, better chance of money. Bad karma, better chance of spoiled food.

I would guess it applies to all chance
