Point of throwing the snack to the dog? Also spoilers, probably.

When trying to escape via one of the trucks, you knock over a box and can pick up a snack which you can later throw to the dog that's sent into the truck.

This doesn't seem to affect anything, however. I assumed that you wouldn't have to hide under the truck and skip the "hold your breath stage" - in case you don't have enough energy left.

Then again, both the dog and the guard are sent in regardless of you remaining motionless during the first stop. Anybody know what - if any - impact these actions are supposed to have?

To give the snack to the dog doesn't affect anything. It's exactly th same: You will hide under the truck.

When it comes time to hold your breath, you have to wait fewer seconds than you would have without giving the dog the snack.

yes its less time to have to hold breath so not a pointless choice. those seconds really do matter because before you know it your health bar will be at zero

Fewer than I would have been able to than I ate the snack instead? IIRC you get between 5-10 seconds per bar.

Just checked, you get marginally more bonus from throwing the snack to the dog instead of eating it.

there is a difference that doesnt really change much if you eat the snack the news show lady (cant remember how her name is spelled so this is what you got) says that the teen was later arrested if you throw the snack she says the teen escaped and thats the only difference i can see

When I tried the truck route, I started holding my breath at the beginning and when the timer ran out, I breathed... and was caught...
