Yet another game with the "fortnite" artstyle

Even if this games good, I'll be purely avoiding it based on the art style.
I hate this new meme that every game has to have the caricature cartoon look with hyper-realistic shading, IE the fortnite artstyle. I'm sick of this meme.
Put effort into making a game look it's own with its own art direction, stop copying what's popular because what's popular right now is pretty crap and ugly.
I know graphic aren't everything and it has nothing to do with graphic fidelity but more so the art direction the game has.

EDIT: Since people can't read I never said Fortnite MADE the art style and others are STEALING it, far from it. They POPULARIZED it in MAINSTREAM MEDIA in the current bandwagon of visual aesthetics in games. Learn how to read before getting buttmad and typing a seething comment.

so for clarity. your complaint about a games appearance? and that it is/will be a dead meme. what you think is your opinion. But come on man don't compare things that have nothing to do with each other. and from all you could choose was fortnite wow.

and personally I think the graphics are 8/10. and yes it has some rough edges but that's not what this game is about. it's about the story. and I think the folks here would agree with me. and so not too bad

p,s as an example the The Walking Dead game has quite the same style as Road 96. and that game came out in 2012. and fortnite what you apparently believe is the creator or whatever you want to call it (caricature cartoon look with hyper-realistic shading). came out in 2017

wait fortnite is still popular? (if you fall in this catagory please dont take it as a insult im just stateing my opinion) isnt it only popular among kids now? also you can not steal and art style from a different game without owning that game as a company and haveing it copywrited which legaly you cant copywrite an art style and the artstyle of road 96 isnt even close to the art style of fortnite im sure you just seen the tone of the colors used since the color tone is similar and often invokes a cartoonish feel in people and compared that feeling with fortnite anyway my third point please dont be insulted by this either its not my intention but how in the world can a artstyle be considered a meme? either your useing the litteral deffinition of a meme which is a peice of culture or your useing the more common deffinion of a thing considered a joke this artstyle i believe your calling a joke either it be fortnite or road 96 takes a lot of talent to make the way you speak about it is that its easy to design things like that like you can copy and paste it game design doesnt work that way you have to draw things from scratch and thats just to get something that merely resembles what your trying to get a character or item to look like you still have to add shadeing and stuff

Never said they made the artstyle, they popularized it. And it looks similar enough to me just like Sea of Thieves. Don't care for that game either and the art style is annoying.
