Spoiler question: So Zoey character is...

....alive or dead? I am not sure now. On my first playthrough I helped her escape Petria.
In last episode she ran out through the gate during election day with some other teens and started fighting with the cops. President Tyrak gave order to open fire, there were several flashes and she was shot and fell to the ground with other kids. That was so sad as I chose to escape Petria with John, Fann and Alex. Before game credits Zoey was narrating that Tyrak lost election and got arrested, wall at the border destroyed. So is she alive or wut? I am not sure now. Thanks.

She always dies. If you let her die earlier, then Alex dies at the end

I don't understand why people are so upset about Zoe narrating the ending even though she's dead. There are other games that do the same thing such as TESIV: Oblivion (Martin Septim) yet I never heard anyone complain about it. Don't you people have, I don't know, an imagination?

On the end of my first play through, Zoey was very much alive

A kid ran out, which I believe was my character who stayed and fought, and saved Zoey's life as they got in between the guards and Zoey .

So you saved her twice? First time when she was crossing border and 2nd time on the election day. Your character died though, right? I escaped with Alex, Papa Bear and Fann. 3 lives saved......Tyrak removed from office.

Fairly sure she didn't die for me .. Similar to what Dregur said. Helped her cross the border, think I died helping her then. Then during the elections and my ending with Big John & Fanny, i got some option (forgot what ) that lead me to joining the protests. When fire was opened, I died but zoe didn't. Tyrak removed from office.

You're right. I did another play through and she lived. Saved her with documents, then Fanny didn't shoot John (tide was turning, Florres at 49% votes), I joined to protests and took the bullet (2nd time) for Zoe. So she ended up killing me twice and getting me arrested. What a gal!
