I've been enjoying the game, but in 8 hours of gameplay, i've had it crash nearly every 20 minutes after the beginning area. I have graphics all set to low with no shadows, and my GPU (AMD Radeon RX 6800 XT that has ran perfectly fine on other newer games) runs hot after 5 minutes. By no means is my setup absolutely amazing, but both my graphics card and processor are markedly better than what is their minimum, as well as their recommended
I'm stuck at a point that I load, try to sell some stuff to the shop, and it freezes just from swapping menu pages, and am having difficulties trying to get the urge to continue to play.

Would be a good game if it wouldn't crash so often.

It's a fun game but the latest update ruin the experience. constantly crash every 20 minutes or so. I would not recommend this game at this current state.

I bought this in EA almost 2 years back and liked the concepts. I'm a big fan of Elder Scrolls/Skyrim and was wanting a new version. This , I thought, would fill the gap. Well, it did more than that. This is exactly the kind of game Skyrim was trying to be (and could be, after a ton of modding). Almost 100 hours in and I'm really impressed. Lots of fun, very immersive, and completely customizable. 10/10 and the ver 1.0 isn't out yet. Brilliant.

Seems like a solid somewhat janky experience. Has some truly beautiful spectacles and once things clicked I did start enjoying the gameplay quite a bit. I think the leveling system is generally quite flawed and certain playstyles seem way stronger and more effective than others, I unlocked a perk before level 10 that allowed me to parry all forms of projectiles including magic which made me, a melee fighter, nigh invulnerable. But I haven't gotten deep enough into any of it to tell how good or bad it gets.

I suggest waiting for 1.0 there's still a lot of content missing and I encountered quite a lot of severe graphical glitches and a few crashes. I'd also hope they touch up the crafting system a bit, I was drowning in hides that are apparently a crafting reagent but found no way to convert them to leather and constantly needed an enormous amount of it. Alchemy and cooking is fairly OP, I constantly had everything I needed to make top tier food, which is providing a constant healing effect over time, and potions, which have instant effects such as healing or buffs.

Some attack animations could also stand to be updated. A lot of enemy attack animations are them just awkwardly gyrating their arm in your general direction, a very annoying number of enemies will queue up a ranged attack and in the time it's taken them to do so I'd circle around to their back only for the animation to play out as though they are throwing the attack forward and then the projectile would do a 180 in the air and hit me directly in the face. In some cases I would attempt to parry the attack and it would simply go through my model whiffing entirely.

The story seems mildly engaging but I haven't gotten very far into it. So far if things keep up this will be a solid 7/10 for me and I'll hold it in a similar regard to games like Kingdoms of Amalur. Bit janky, sometimes annoying, but otherwise compelling and a fun experience.

Get it.

Don't try to play this with a controller, it will cause various different crashes. Works pretty good with mouse and keyboard (though I did still get the occasional crash).

Pretty good for an early access, it's very "Skyrim but mixed with Arthurian legend and H.R. Giger."

The combat feels pretty good and has lots of build variety, although there are some really random difficulty spikes here and there.

The story and sidequests are surprisingly good, some decent writing here.

It's still pretty janky and there are little bugs or missing content here and there, but overall I enjoyed my time with it.

This game is shaping up to be the game Avowed wanted to be.

There could be more than one reason people are crashing, but turning auto save off in the settings completely fixed mine. I'm used to manually saving from Fallout, so it's not that bad. Hope this helps. Don't forget to manually save before battles.

Like The Elder Scrolls and Dark Souls did the fusion dance. A little janky in some places, but truly a rewarding experience with immersive combat and an oppressive atmosphere that gets genuinely creepy at times.
