win 10 patch 9.0 reads as a trojan Trojan:Win32/Bearfoos.A!ml
playing the game fine, then downloaded the patch. Win 10 says Trojan:Win32/Bearfoos.A!ml every time I try to download or load the game.

Same here, can't play the game anymore :/
Yes, I also had this as well as several instances of disk write errors while trying to verify the files, perhaps as a result of Windows thinking the executable was a virus and quarantining it during the verification causing Steam to think there is a disk error? This was on a 4 TB Samsung 870 EVO SSD.

I have just uninstalled the game and installed it to my Samsung T7 SSD instead to see if this makes any difference....

Using Windows 11 Pro 24H2 by the way.

*EDIT 1*
Doesn't work as Steam reports a missing file after a clean install on a different drive.

Windows Defender reports Trojan:Win32/Bearfoos.A!ml found in the game executable and has quarantined it.

*EDIT 2*
Managed to get the game running by forcing Windows Defender to allow the executable and then I was able to restore it and load the game. Just hope this is a false positive and not an actual trojan but it is concerning for any game on Steam to throw up an anti-virus warning...

When I finally got the game to load it loads to a title screen where it has spent 10-15 minutes verifying the files. What is this, never saw that with the earlier builds and it doesn't appear to be a shader compile?

Same here, don't wanna risk allowing it right now till we get a proper confirmation.
Would want to try the demo out though
