Can you cut trees in this game? I have the wood cutting axe but it won't let me cut trees.

well, you can turn logs into firewood at a chopstick.

n excuse me but i'm fuddled with the difference between splitting, cutting n chopping.
which one is trees n which one just branches/firewood.
does english even differenciate?

in my eyes they used the wrong name for that axe. should probably be a splitting axe.

No, you cannot chop trees like in a survival game. I thought so too at first. Just at the chopping block. I only know of two locations to chop wood, one in the keep, and one by Margh.

They're mostly interchangeable but splitting is a better definition for cutting something in half and chopping is a better definition for a swinging motion. You can cut a tree down by chopping or it with an axe, and then split the logs on a chopping block. You can also say you you chopped a tree down by cutting it with an axe, and then cut the logs at the chopping block. If you had super human abilities, you could probably split the entire tree down the middle with a single vertical slice.
