Spider enemies?
Started a new run of 0.9 and it occurred to me that in my previous run, I didn't see (or don't remember) any spider enemies. As the game is shaping up to be a classic fantasy RPG alongside some of the historical greats, might I humbly suggest adding massive Wyrd spiders?

I actually have an extreme fear of being robbed and murdered, but the bandits in the game don't deter me! That said, I can't tell if your response is serious or not!

The enemy AI and animations are currently pretty simple, although I'd like to see a lot more variation of enemies like spiders or bats or hell even dinosaurs, I don't see that happening soon! You'll more likely see enemies that are easily reskinned and leverage existing animations. Who knows though, there may be some surprises in 1.0, when it was enabled, the second area had some pretty interesting enemies that were really cool to see!

Bit silly to draw a line that excludes spiders, but includes deformed druidic plant men, blood abominations, walking undead (both reanimated corpses AND walking skeletons), associated poltergeists, hostile carniverous fauna, and a mechanic by which the Wyrd visibly overtakes humans at night and turns them into possessed and twisted versions of themselves. If anything, just include a toggle that renders spiders as floating balls, would be interesting to see ants and spiders since we already have bees.

Almost every medieval fantasy game has giant spiders. They are such a staple that at least to me they have become boring. I welcome the change of having no spiders but lots of unexpected other sources of horror in the game.

Not putting in arachnids because some people might have a fear would be a really stupid reason to not include them.

I like spiders. Hopefully there’s some in the game at some point.

Tbh though, animating a spider can be a real pain in the ass.

There's some really cool procedural tools for animating things like spiders, but yeah, definitely not expecting anything like this in 1.0, devs are having enough trouble wrapping things up as it is!
