The GTX 970 has gimped VRAM. Plus that processor is ancient.
do engine uses cache? cache could help with stuttering.
Have a 3090 and a ryzen 9 5900x and constantly got random crashes.
Which is a shame as i was enjoying it,but refunded cause of the crashes.
But i will be re purchasing Tainted Grail when these issues are fixed.
This fixed my issue of: slow/choppy movement. I also turned off the vsync. Now I have fluid movements :)

Game keeps crashing, can't play the game for 20 seconds until it crashes. Started as soon as i've been to the fortress.
Set everything to medium/low when i left the fortress and i have now 3 minutes without crashing. Sent the logs to your email
one person decreased the cores to 3 and no longer had crashes. you could try that
Core i7-14700, 32GB RAM, 1TB SSD, RTX 4070
I just turned off VSync, and the game seems smooth at the moment.
