Currently I don't think anyone knows if there is a level cap, it might be 100, or it might be unlimited. If there isn't one then they might add it in the future. From what I've played I've gotten up close to 60 by the end of the current game play and could still continue levelling if I wanted to grind.

Ohh,ok.Thanks for the reply!
I personally don't expect one, seeing as how the game really seems to value freedom. I restarted with patch 0.9 and I've barely gotten anything done in about 10 hours and I'm already level 21. Levels don't feel all that impactful, considering how small the stat increase increments are.

It can depending on your stat allocation. Magic grows in power dramatically for example. And summons have perks for raw HP and damage increases per spirituality point. That increase is potent after time.

i went with an significant exp boost (x25) to find out, currently 105, no cap in sight.
started that run for all the dialog skill checks. got currious bout level cap.
btw these dialogs are awesome af. :D

and have to say while most enemies are a piece of cake. these stupid wyrd ghosts ( blue full human body ) still requiere 20+ hits but are capable of 2 shoting me. and they always spawn in groups of 3. xD

I mean yeah, magic seems to be the best when it comes to scaling, and investment should make you stronger. +1% spell damage over 50 levels *should* add up, but my point is the impact per singular level is really minor compared to what you would usually expect from an RPG.

I recall long argumentative threads (in other game forums, back in the day) all about leveling, On and on whether the game is about the journey or the destination. Power leveling and what all... anyway, to my mind what Tainted Grail is doing, by (apparently) focusing on abilities and using attributes as a gating mechanism for more powerful gear is a fascinating game design choice that encourages players to focus on the RP side of things and worry less about the "ding" factor.

I'm all for it.

The wyrdspawns level up with you, which is why they are always difficult. Their damage, armor, health and experience scale, which can make for a bad day when you start hitting the damage cap for certain builds, but are a great way to level up a couple times in a single night.

The sunken village is great for this, you get several groups like this:
