Blocking ???
So I'm playing the demo on the middle difficulty and I decided to agro that tough guy that killed all the red clerics. And no matter what I do I can't block him. Not with a weapon or dual weapon nor a shield. He just hits and it drains almost all of my stamina and health. most times I'm dead and out of stamina in two hits.

Why I ask is, while the blocking was somewhat random on the other guys and parries were so so, On this guy it is outright impossible. Is this is a level thing? Is this guy just too high of a level for me?

but yes, your stamina sucks now, and this is the first time you've been hit by a large two handed sword, its gonna knock some air out of you.

Your best bet is to dodge him by pressing a direction, and alt at the same time, while attacking guerilla like. Just dont spam it as you can overexert yourself.

So this is going to be a thing in the game that some enemies you need to block and some to dodge?

Eh sorta, you can invest in parrying (to make it easier), or getting a mana shield as well. Both of those will allow you to be a bit more tankier to even the largest enemies.
Ok. Thank you for your answers :) 👍

With a few perks in the talent trees and items, stamina will be less of a problem. And yes, it''s a bit like Dark Souls 1, if things hit too heavy, you better dodge. Blocking is viable though against 90% of the enemies.
