Eogans Garden Quests

Does anything ever happen with eogans garden?
I had the quest to bring him pumpkin seeds, did that, nothing happened
now occasionally I visit the garden again to see if he planted them or if the quest continues in some way but nothing

I have also noticed that there are a bunch of interactable planters in the garden, but there is nothing I can do with them
am I missing something, is there something left to do in the garden after you bring him pumpkin seeds?
is there some way to plant your own crops in the garden?

I am so confused, I assumed some crop farming feature unlocks once you bring the guy the pumpkin seeds (like in skyrims hearthfire dlc) but nothing is happening

Come back after about 32 hours of in-game time, I think. There, you'll find an ugly, monster-looking pumpkin. Eogan is dead, slumped over on the left side. Just destroy the monster-looking pumpkin, and that's it. I'm guessing for now, or it might be bugged to hell.

I can't get the pumpkin seeds, I know you are suppose to get them in roscree at night
but nothing spawn there. It's possible I ventured here before and killed them as I think the npc are suppose to be skeletons so guess I locked myself out of this quest.

huh? i dont know what roscree is but you dont get the seeds in a hostile area and it has nothing to do with skeletons either

where you actually get the seeds is in the small farming area that is still within the borders of the main city in the act 2 map, just talk with the farmers there, they sell pumpkin seeds. they are friendly npcs inside a safe zone so I doubt you locked yourself out of the quest by killing them

Actually while you can get them in act2 like you mention you can also get the pumpkin seeds in act 1 if you teleport here to roscree and head south east a little during night time. There will be a run down home with two NPC skellies doing some gardening and one of them has a shop you can buy the seeds from. They are not aggressive and you can talk to them.
