Sneak Shimmy

I just went from 30 to 75 in 15 minutes then 75 to 100 in another 15 minutes just by hiding on the opposite side of a wall from an enemy(outcast peasant i think) and shimmying lmao

Literally just sat there repeatedly alternating between A and D for 30 minutes and maxed it out. Cant 100% confirm, but pretty sure the faster you press them the faster you level it. I was just gonna move around in a circle a bit and get a few sneak levels, I do the same thing in elder-scrolls games. But i got tired of moving my mouse around and just started shimmying and realized it was leveling me up way faster than one constant movement. Up until like 60 I was getting a sneak level in less than 30 seconds, when I started at 30 I was leveling my sneak every 10-15 seconds.

It's called exploiting a mechanic. I noticed it in the starter dungeon sneaking behind a zombie that wouldn't turn around. In any case, I started act 3 and I'm not even 60 sneak yet. Didn't want to end up like Skyrim where I'm right in front of someone's face and they don't see me.

A lot of games have exploits like this. Skyrim had backstabs on greybeards, Oblivion had jumping as you run etc. How much you exploit is up to you.

Fortunately things have pretty keen eyesight I can usually manage to sneak up and get a dagger attack if i can come from behind but if im in front of them they still spot me from a good 10-15 feet away. But i literally just got to horns town, am level 8, and haven't put any points into sneak tree.
