Why does Steam have to validate files after every update??
I can't recall this with any other game.

Its crazy annoying. This is like my 4th time launching and being told I have corrupted files.

Is it actually saying you have corrupted files or is it just "validating" ?

And is your game on a drive other than "c:\program files (x86)" ?

Trying to see IF that might be a common cause for the endless validation. ;)

That isn't Steam. That's the game.

It's to avoid file corruption.

They maybe having issues with save files between updates and this is their preemptive solution to make sure saves between versions are not corrupted or made incompatible
