honest answer for performance?
how is performance? I have a high end PC and have no problems with running games. I see all kinds of people saying its horrible and others saying its fine. This is with most things in life i guess. lol

After the patch, my FPS stopped falling in those locations where it fell, and the FPS also stopped falling over time spent in the game.
Here's my Hardware for comparison:

CPU - R7 5800 XT
GPU - RX 7800 XT
RAM - 128 GB DDR4 3000Mhz

Game runs mostly fine for me, getting 70 - 90 FPS with everything on high (I use AFMF 2 so that translates to 140 - 180 FPS with framegen). There are some dips here and there but they are few and far between. There is also the occasional stutter - but not all that often.

Game definitely needs some optimization - but is perfectly playable - for me at least.
It's okay on my end, but not great. I'm running it on Ultra with DLSS. It's definitely playable and it's still a lot of fun, but the game does stutter which is kind of annoying.

RTX 3080
AMD Ryzen 9 3900X
32gb Ram
I'm on an AMD 5800 whatever CPU, RX 6700XT, with 64 Gigs of ram, installed on a NVME and I am playing on high and getting good performance. I never drop below 60 and am usually in the 70-90 range. The only stuttering is on saving, which is a Unity engine problem, not entirely a dev performance problem.
My Specs:
CPU: Ryzen 7950X3D
GPU: RX 7900 XTX
RAM: G.Skill DDR5 32GB 6000MHz CL30 AMD Expo
SSD: Samsung 990 Pro 2TB

I am running the game on 3440x1440 21:9 Resolution with the Ultra preset and capped my fps at 120.
85% of the time game runs stable 120 fps, but there are certain areas where fps drops down to 60 fps or below. Most of the time in are areas with fog and alot of vegetation. Turning down the settings from high to low on fog and vegetation only gets me like 5 fps. So it needs a bit more optimisation on that part. With locked 120 fps I get only minimal stuttering. Once or twice in one hour of gameplay.
It's playable but not great.

Whatever your card is, the game will perform much worse than you want and you will likely have to lower settings.

Game is fun though.
Running an i7-14700k and a 4080 super and it runs smooth as butter for me at 120-144fps. I prefer to just cap it at 120 to keep my stuff running cooler. Game runs extremely well on a higher end PC. Low end and console probably not the same.
10600K
4070TI
32 gigs ram
1440P

Vegetation set to low, imo a key step.

Locked frames at 75, stays there almost always. (That is 10 higher than I used in beta)

GPU is around 65-80% usage outside and CPU is usually low as well.

I'm going for a stable fps.

Stutter is a very low occurrence, non-issue to me. Some people have different takes on what they feel stutter is.

When loading while venturing (in out of caves as an example), quick.
I stil have to restart the game occasionally to "reset" the framerate, it degrades after some time. Otherwise its pretty heavy for the visuals. It does not even look close to KCD2 but for some reason has worse framerate. Both on GPU and CPU side.
4080m + 13900HX + 32GB. Not unplayable at all for me, but aggroing a bunch of enemies had me drop into the 50s sometimes.

The wild thing for me is that my GPU usage and CPU usage almost never go above ~60% when playing this game.

Do not craft anything to make money, the crafted items seems to be registered globally in the world and will tank your performance. Currently my fps is running at 30 or below on a 4090. No settings will fix this even if you change resolutions or set vegetation to low. It is just tanking performance and eating cpu cycles calculating the existence of these items.
Playble for high-end and a prayer for mid and low tier.

Game has a lot to fix and improve.
It's pretty bad performance once you hit the mainland, for how poor the textures and meshes look. The lighting is great though.

OMG you are right and I was wondering why I am on 40 fps while puting everything on low and 800x600 resolution and it was because I wanted to level my alchemy and coocking to 100 and did a lot of coocking and potion creating. It may be because it stays forever in the Buy back window. this needs to be fixed.

From playing the demo on the steam deck, performance ran really really smoothly. Unsure how it'll be like in the mainland.
