Two hand sword doing virtually no damage at lv 20
I just switched to the giants sword and upgraded it (I do have the stat requirement) and its doing virtually no damage.
I thought that it was literally zero, or that I was just missing every hit, but eventually it did bring down the drowners health to about 80% after a lot of hits.
Bug?

What act are you on? Have you invested in the 2 handed skills? What is your str stat? What is your 2 handed proficiency level? There are a myriad of numbers that impact weapon damage.

I don´t understand how melee works at all. I play stealth bow and had to use a one-handed sword for a quest. I have a one-handed skill of 20 and STR of 1. I killed enemies in act 2 with 2 hits. I am level 43 but still this is super weird because this means your stats mean actually nothing and dmg comes from your lvl.

Why are you switching to Giant's Sword at level 20?
It's worse than a regular Great Axe, which is what I'm using at the moment.
Giant's Sword: 32-35 dmg
Plain white Great Axe with 0 upgrades: 46-50

If anything, it should be talked about the damage on the two-handed quest rewards. I've yet to find a single two-handed weapon that wasn't white, that has been worth switching to because they all have so low damage compared to the white items I find.

I'm mostly 1-shotting human sized enemies, with 7 points into the two-handed tree. Anything human looking can even be knocked down with a simple push-attack lol

This sword (as well as the whole two-handed weapon build) is not just strong, but too strong. I went with him for the second half of the first act, as soon as I met the minimum requirements, and he killed almost everything he could with one blow.

Have no idea about this specific sword, but at lvl 29 skill lvl 70+ i one-shot everything that is not a boss with 2h hammer. What's interesting is that Wyrd Knight still mops up the floor with my unconscious body(I pulled out Excalibur with healing potions but i'm in act 2)

No idea, at lvl 30 with 1 handed lvl like 35. STR is 1 as well. I play a mage, tried both sword and scepter for melee, which worked fine on the first map. In the 2nd act, my sneak attacks do maybe 10% of their hp bar, anything beyond that is like 1% and barely shows on the hp bar. Melee and ranged are not viable at all for me. I'd expect it to be weak, but I wouldn't expect it to do this little.

lv 9 strength, while the sword requires 8.
I had gone 2-hand the entire game, so my build is based around it.
It's the Giants Sword from Senán the Giant.

My thinking is that it may be a bug.

Im using poison knights gs +6 with 16 str and build offensevly and Im destroying everything
weapon dmg 255-275
So either you are build wrong or its a bug
In my case I do no dmg with magic but I understand that it is because of my build I had tried to go hybrid before and it didnt work but I havent respeced and I have leftover points in spi and some spells
At act 2 atm
I'm currently using the giant's sword at lvl 17 with around 11 str, 7 end. Perks into 2H damage boost and 2H crits. 1 shotting smaller mobs with heavy sneak attacks and 2 shotting most everything else.
