The difficulty spike from the horns to cuanacht...
What in the hell? I went from fighting galahad to getting literally one shot by trash mobs with laser eyes.

Smashed alt f4 after failing to get past the first three enemies half a dozen times.

There is a big difficulty spike there. I was happy for it because the game was getting too easy.

Definitely look into gear upgrades from the crafting bench, If you haven't already check out more side areas for some better gear, and maybe look into using a respec pot to optimize more. You can make some pretty crazy builds with the gear from the first act's area.

Also just grinding some more levels, especially against night mobs really helps.

Just dodge the beam? Its so slow. It does a ton of damage though. You already met those enemies earlier in the first zone and they do crazy damage so dont expect higher level ones doing any less. Also dont go underleveled into the 2nd zone. Aim for lvl25 and above.

get good, but no seriously you just need to focus on improving your gear and build, respec and optimise your skill and poitns, and try and level up your armor and weapons a bit. once you hit a threshold youll have no problem. also take the stealth tree skill that allows you to survive death

that whole swamp area is actual BS. Run through it. I came back to it later after getting more buff, and I still get two shot by those tanky eyeball creatures.I've had an easier time killing bandit mini-bosses. A little giant ogre was easier than these eyeball MFers. Also ahead you'll want to stay to the right side, just run. There are poison swordsmen, run, they are also too strong. Once you get to the fields, just book it to the city. And don't worry the laser eyeball guys are the only ones. None after that as I recall. If it helps, use any stealth if you have it, shields using magic, or use summons to distract them, assuming the AI will engage the eyeball MFers. Use the king power to slow time if you have to. I don't know why they thought the eyeball guys were a good idea. I use summons and they 1 hit kill them with the laser.
Are they those eye monsters from the blood cave?

there are two entrances to cuanacht i think. In mine i just faced a couple of disgraced knights before getting to the city

and now I'm running around Cuanacht using the sword and armour from the tomb right next to wear you land ship wrecked... Just needed to get to level 38 odd to use it all. The sword less so, like 34? And then there is the secret skill line... which makes you even more powerful.

But yes the power spike in enemies was a little annoying, but they also give a lot of XP, so its actually not hard to level up quickly too.

I expected it with a divided world, its common for games such as this, to have you become a good in act 1, only to have act 2 have everything more powerful... and then repeat in act 3 or 4 or 5... or how many there are.

Its the way these games kinda work. Otherwise, they would just be totally open world
Also, the quest markers guide you to the wrong gate for some reason. The other gate is not only closer to the next city/town, there are almost no monsters on the path too it.

This is something that needs adjusting

I think that depends where you are on the map. When I was with the delrita tribe, it told me to go through that entrence. When I TPd back to the fort, it changed to the door on the hill.

yeah. There is a shield tree perk you can choose so you deflect arrows and stuff, havent grabbed it yet, but i wonder if it works on the eye lazers

That's a balancing issue in and of itself. You shouldn't be a 1 hit killing god in the first area and 1 shot with tickle damage in the next. It should be progressive. Now you cross the border and everyone has 10x the hp bar.

Skill issue. As a mage Im blasting through everything, just went from 1 shoting everything to 2-3 hits. Veteran difficulty
Feels good to me. Just got to 2nd area at level 31. I kill in a couple hits and they kill me in a couple hits. First area has a bunch of cannon fodder for you to TRAIN. THhe wyrdness is quite literally an infinite training playground mechanic.

The world is unleveled but you're free to be as strong or as weak as you choose to be
Huh. Ironic that I'd come to steam with this complaint and the first topic I see is someone with the exact same issue.

I'm playing a sword mage build and finally finished the Horns, beat Galahad with no problems, and walk in to get instantly obliterated by those eye enemies. I honestly assumed I went into the wrong area but no, that's where the quests direct me.

I'm 25, upgraded Spellslinger gear, Upgraded Arcanist Sword and Merlin's Thorns and it took me five casts to kill even 1 of them. Even Galahad wasn't that tanky.\

EDIT: Lowered the difficulty to Adventure, managed to beat them, walk a bit further up the hill and encounter some Bloodthorn named knight who also instantly kills me in one hit.

EDIT2: FFS, and THEN I got jumped by some ethereal four-armed knight who ran away after like 20 minutes fighting and killed Teranis! >.>
