Postprocesses - black at the edges of screen
Hi guys,

Does anyone know how to disable the postprocesses so that we don't have the screen darker at borders? In some games this is barely visible but in this one it feels like my character is watching through a tube of some sort or is wearing a helmet (not helmet issue though).

As far as I remember it's connected to ambient occlusion (not sure?) but there is no option to turn it off in game. This is driving me crazy.

seconded -- i turned off SSAO and it's still there
I also need to find a way to turn this off im going nuts because of it

It's Vignette. There used to be an option to disable it but they removed the option. Dev's had been told multiple times.

That's called vignette, and most games have the option to turn it off. This one does not. I haven't heard people talking about any ini or cfg edits for this game yet, but if there are those files you might be able to edit them to turn it off.

How can we remove it? I even saw a mod for it, but it's hidden
Ran into it in caves only and it can be removed by simply holding a torch.

It goes away if you pull out a torch. Which you should be carrying anyway.

My build is using 2-handed weapon. I'm completely defenseless with a torch.
There should be a hanging lamp or light spell or something like cat's eye potion

I am also 2 handed main, but regularly walk around with a mace + torch in caves for exploration and pull out my main weapon only when needed. Often just for tougher enemies.

I honestly prefer it to making caves really dark. It restricts vision just enough to incentivize the torch.

I get it, that's why my complaint not about it being dark, but about not enough ways deal with the darkness.
I don't see a reason not being able to cast a light spell or carry a small oil lantern leaving hands free
