Is it required to kill Galahad or One Eyes If you already pulled out Excalibur?
Probably a stupid a question, but since I just popped a few strong potions to pull Excalibur out without having have to prove myself to the tribe to gain access to the temple where One Eyes and the Captain is, is it still required to kill Galahad or One Eyes to advance the plot? I can start looking for the shield.

How, where, did you find the captain..? I went there and Mabyn let me pass. However, after that I could barely even look for the captain because I kept being caught for trespassing and having to fight, or die.

In the end I just gave up, so I never found them..

You need to speak to Vraan I think she is called. She will give you some tasks and then allow you to enter the temple. As to the op's question I have no idea, I went through the quest chain but I'd assume if the next quest has triggered you should be good to go

I didn't. I know he's in the all mother temple(there's a locked door), but I never spoke to him since you need to do a bunch of side quests to become their "friend" which I didn't feel like doing again.

you only have to do the quest for vrann if you are alread in, she will give you the key after. The quest is just going to the keep and back. Like 1min except the talking.

Okay, I'll try again and look for this Vrann. I assume he/she is past Mabyn..?

If it's like version 0.8, should be a female chieftain near the stash chest?

yes, shes in the big wood hut at the end of the village before you go up to the shrine.
Yes it is possible to jump past a lot of the main quest and access Excalibur, but doing so means you miss a lot of important information and conversations with Arthur. Doesn't matter if you side with the captain or Galahad, but DO NOT attack the captain agree and then grass him up to Galahad if you decide to side with Kamalot. Don't forget to loot One Eye for his sigil and visit Sewel's Tomb. though if you then tell him you broke the Dal Riata I doubt if he'll be pleased lol. Has anyone done that.

Grass him up? You mean kill him? Cause I'm sure Galahad will just try and kill me if I show up without his head.

I thought you only get the sigil IF you side with One Eye's rebellion?
Without seeing Sewel's tomb, act one doesn't make alot of sense since the game basically gives you little to no reason to berry Kamelot?

I am almost at this part, so I am trying to understand what this choice is, but it's hard when I see things like "grass him up".

Also, what is needed to get this sigil.? This is obviously a major decision so I am trying to understand what the options, and consequences are here..

The woman at the front says "talk to vrann first, she will allow the berserkers to let you pass or else they're going to slice you up"

It's a basic check to see if players are paying attention is all

Vrann is above the campsight in a big wooden lodge looking thing

Okay thanks.. I don't recall her saying that. We fought, I won, she let me past and said be careful around the beserkers, or something to that effect..
Dam, pretty surprised I can't get a solid answer on this since there already people who have beaten it already. I can't even find anything on this so called civil war.

To answer the question

no, it's not required to finish the quest after you've gotten the excal soul fragment. Technically the whole One Eye/Captain/Galahad situation is a "faction" quest and not actually the main quest. The main quest ALWAYS is get the soul fragment
