Abigor: Honorable knightly duel
I encountered some knight with a glowing red lightsaber who offered to kill me to put me out of my misery.
I'm enjoying this dumb jank fight.
I've been spending the entire time cowering behind the statue he was leaning against in 'stealth' while sending waves and waves of magically summoned wolves after him.

My stealth has gone up like 12 levels since this duel started. I wish I kept count of how many wolves he's killed.

He's below half health now.

Well, I got him down to about a centimeter of health before the game decided to freeze on me and it never recovered. :(

That sucks.

I guess I'll just leave him alone for now. I can't be bothered to whittle him down again like that. ;)

I was able to do something similar but I used a bow or a spell to do extra damage, but I wouldn't have done it had I not seen your post lol
I kite bowed him to death using the nearby rocks (very honorable kill) he dead now

I might have a go again with a bow or something.
I made a few attempts while focusing on parrying and it was going pretty well - but he can even one-shot me with a shield bash. I always fail to see that one coming as I tend to focus on his sword. ;)

Just level up some and then spank him. For my build, it was not worth it. Waste of time to do early on.

Well, I don't really have a build.
I haven't really decided what I like yet.
I'm level 9 and haven't spent any of my Attribute or Skill points yet.

Killed him on level 16 with my stealth archer, 1 headshot = 70% HP gone, 3 more shots into the legs with poison arrows, done.
Cant use his armor anyway but his attitude rubbed me the wrong way.

His gear is not that great. At the point you can beat him comfortably you're likely to have better.

Does not killing him have any benefits? I don't really like killing random NPCs

His gear is very interesting, due to the attribute requirements of other gear there isn't much better gear to get in act 1. Especially the additional properties are very good for melee fighters.

For people interested in cheesing him early, the status effects "Burn" and "Poison" do 2% of the enemy's health a second, and there are plenty of throwable consumables you can find to apply these if you're consistent about looting boxes and stuff.

I used Life Transfusion to stack bleeds on him and whittle him down, then use the channeled mode of the spell to drain his health back to me (the spell uses a health cost instead of mana). I have a light weight mage armor setup, so I get the maximum amount of dashes.

I kited him to death and let the bleeds do the rest. So far to me magic/spells is the way to go. Keeps you out of range of enemies, saves stamina for dashing, and spells hit decently hard so far in the early game.

i attempted this fight with a lvl8 shield and sword character lol. he broke all my stamina in 1 hit against my block and took out half my health with it and then just instantly finished me with a second swing while i was too busy staggering for a year,, good fight lol
