Alchemy/cooking are good as you level the skill and then sell the stuff you made.
Resources seem to re spawn fairly quickly so just pick every flower and kill every animal as you quest.
There is also a silly spell that turns things into cheese that is decent.
You can also level handcrafting if you want to make gold via mining and crafting basic stuff from iron leather ect.
I've not found a get rich quick trick but if you passively collect and craft everytime you return to town you will get a decent chunk of gold.
I already got the 300 gold mansion, gotta say I miss those 300 gold rn. A house cannot beat the bonfire though
I get way better drops than the crap merchants sell and I make my own potions and food so I dont buy anyting
