Veteran mode assumes you are aware of how lethal it will be with you and that you know to abuse everything you have from spells, consumables, melee, bows ect. I have 180+ hours and even I dont know if I would want to run a No-Death mode in a game like this where a Bear can suddenly kill you even 25 levels after you find them lol
I'm sorry, but you are wrong.
Since I am playing on Veteran, but did not die yet, I was courious and tested it out.
I created new character selected Veteran. Survival UNCHECKED.
Started into Prologue and let the first guard kill me.
Two possibilities now.
1. You possibly had autosave disabled and forgot to create at least one manual save.
In this case you have no last checkpoint and you have to start a new game.
Since I play with autosave disabled, I cannot say when an autosave is created in the prologue.
2. You created at least one save (auto or manual). You will die, but the game loads the last save.
You are quite right. Claiming something so stupid while a bunch of people are telling you that you are wrong is incredibly childish. I sure hope you at least figured out traffic lights by now.
So now for the devs refusing to take responsibility for their screw up putting people like me in this situation, I won't be changing my negative review. It can just hang over them like a scarlet letter forever. An honest, admitted mistake is no big deal, but covering it up knowingly and then watching your player base who took the time to report it get disrespected for it is not forgivable.
