Will Demo Save carry over if I buy the game

Just trying the demo now after getting an email saying the game was released. Will I be able to continue my progress if I buy the game later?

That's just not true. They won't be wiping your progress for a DLC.

it says they are done wiping saves bc they are at the final release

they said they were wiping saves between the 0.9 and the 1.0 version of the game. unless they failed to adapt the demo to the 1.0 release the demo save should carry over. at least thats what one would expect. still, its day 1 so who knows

yeah I saw the demo version said 0.9 which is why I'm wondering. It would be nice to know up front but I cant see any info about saves carrying over between the demo and the full game.

Thats because i cant say more than what you said up there :) if the demo is on 0.9 still, then no, it wont carry over, if its 1.0 it should. But i have no idea if they have patched the demo yet or not or when they will do that

I'm playing demo too but I'll just rush through it to get a feel, buy full game then start from the beginning.

A demo is just that, don't worry about starting again

Eh demos often carry over progress. Starting again is not an insignificant thing in a game like this.

Anyway, it's odd there's so much confusion over this here. Based on that and how mediocre the demo feels... I'm just gonna wait for a deep sale if I ever get it at all.

The saves don't carry over. This sucks considering the time it takes to play through and that performance issues may appear only after it when one enters the open world. They should really (have) update(d) the demo so this problem doesn't happen. It means performance issues may well not show up before 2 hours of play and no possibility of refund for people who did play the demo.

Just use the demo time to read every in-game pick-up and next non-demo playtime you won’t need to.

Yeah I just bought the game and launched it to see my 3+ hour demo gametime isn't getting carried over where I did all the exploring and looting possible to get everything.
