Third person view is a joke

It's a mere accessibility feature for people that get motion sicknes from FPV and for that I'd say it's pretty damned good.
Also, you can just switch around with a key. I find myself exploring in TPV and switching to FPV for most fights.

I don't get why people even want third person. Theres a billion fantasy RPGs in third person. let us FP fans have this :)

I can read. I've read many times that 3rd person was added very late and that it is still kind of "experimental". the first time I switched from 1st person to 3rd person in game, I've read a similar message. The point is, if people could read, they would not complain about "clunky, terible" 3rd person view animations.

It's not great, i would like for the animations to be better. But i appreciate that they implemented it to begin with. as FPS tends to make me a bit nauseous.

This is not a 3rd person game. Its designed as first person game. If you enable third person it literally tells you its not the intended way to play, its experimental and an accessibility feature rather than a fully implemented 3rd person camera.

Why adding it tho? The developers just released the launch trailer and they show in many shots the third person animations. Why showing them if they are so ugly and clunky and the game is not meant to be played that way? It doesn't make sense. The sneak animation is just hilarious, I don't know how is this acceptable

Clearly the 3rd person view is a work in progress (they even say that when you first activate it). Honestly, it isn't necessary. What bugs me is that I have no feet in 1st person view. I hate that! Give me a body, damnit! Every game that is in 1st person should show my body when I look down. Honestly, this is my greatest complaint about this game thus far.

Because its an intended accessibility feature. People kept asking about it, saying they couldnt play first person games due to motion sickness, etc, so thats why they added it

There is a pop up notification telling you that game has not been made with 3rd person view support. That might have been a clue... ;)

It has been developed as a 1st person game first and foremost.

Play it as such.

3rd person is for 16 year old gamers who want to watch their female character's
cloth and bikini armour sway in the wind and reveal her underwear. lol

I mean seriously though - this is a 1st person game. It was designed for that.

Have the devs said anything about working on improving the third person aspect? Would buy the game if they did as i am not a fan of fpv
