PS5/Pro version runs very bad.

Hey :)

I was actually planning to buy it today for the PS5 Pro but then saw the really incredibly poor performance in several review videos. For example, on PS5 Pro the whole thing runs at 1080p and 45 frames as seen in the video. There are many setting options in the menu. However, these cannot be changed.

How can such a game appear so poorly optimized on the console? I'm really sad because I wanted to play it hard on the PRo this weekend.

Dear developers. Is this known? Do you have any solutions?

Instead of wasting a grand on the PS5 pro you should of spent that money on a gpu the RTX 3080 is far more powerful than the PS5 Pro and about two hundred dollars cheaper now, but i agree optimization is big problem nowadays.

I have an RTX 3060 with an above average CPU and I had to lower the game to 1080p to get 50fps. The PS5 Pro is actually around the same price for buying an entire PC rig setup as they run around $700. Sadly even having a PC worth about $900 might not be enough to run the game smoothly unless you mess with settings allot and lower allot of settings. The rendering for distance is impressive, at max I can see everything from one corner of the world map to the next on a clear day at a high point, kind of insane. Fog, shadows and draw distance will be the big FPS killer, ESPECIALLY the Wyrdness fog and effects.

TL;DR Performance is pretty rough. lowering shadows, draw distance and setting your DLSS to 50% might resolve it.

Didn't even know it was coming out on PS5, but it's definitely a PC-first game. They probably should have waited a bit for the PC release to be polished then focused on console ports.

That said... buy a PC lol. Or go complain on a not PC-focused forum.

I have a very good PC with 4080. :)

Yea buy a GPU to play the game, everyone knows you don't need to spend a single additional dime to play on PC. Get a 800$ GPU and you're set.
Forget about the other 700-1000$ you need to spend for the rest of the parts to get a PC running, those aren't really needed.

The only thing you need is a GPU, big brain like Stall know that.

Okay i play it at PS5 Pro at the Moment. It runs like a Desaster. Holy ♥♥♥♥ what is this? FPS in Range 30-48. struggle in Dungeons like hell oO

Man’s acting as if a gpu is the only thing you need for a pc

Just the card I got used last month. How is the game running on the 10GB model?
