Magic is probably my favourite way to play this game

The magic scales like, really well, and if you spec into it properly you can start dishing out some wild damage

Ive got flame torrent right now, which i thought was just a flamethrower but turns out it has an AOE effect, that AOE effect is bonkers. And then Ive got the thing that makes enemies drop mana on death, pair it with this and i basically never run out of mana.

Love it, first time playing and the magic is super fun

I like using flame torrent in one hand and summon wolves in the other. The wolves usually grab agro and I can just blowtorch the baddies.

Magic is definitely very good from the beginning, but as you level up into the upper levels (like 50+) melee might be a bit better when paired with certain attacks and effects.

The flamethrower is fun with the ice wand though, constantly rag-dolling groups of enemies definitely gives a certain satisfaction.
