I don't think so - Oblivion is still the same masterpiece as 19 years ago, so there is almost nothing new in it. I'd recommend getting it when it is discounted or more mods are available. TG Fall of Avalon in contrast is an entirely new experience. I hope it will have similar success to the Witcher series, I genuinely think TG is underappreciated in the gaming community. I love that we get both a Oblivion remastered and TG in the same year though, I played Oblivion like crazy back in school.

It was that long ago I played Oblivion there are only small parts I remember so it's like a new game. Thing is with the enhancement small as they are, it has made the game rather RAD and amazing.

Nah, this game will do just fine.

There's going to be a lot of newer folk discovering Oblivion either because they never touched it when it came out, or it was graphically too old for them when they grew up and played Skyrim.

I love Oblivion, but it's still Oblivion, with all the flaws that entails, they're going to get bored of the new shiny bauble once the next new shiny bauble comes along.

Tainted Grail on the other hand, it feels like someone played Skyrim and took notes, using real Norse and English and Welsh and Celtic mythos, added proper voice acting and actual depth to the writing and story telling, and slapped a Dark Souls style of combat on it with all the easy to hard to survival features people often want out of Bethesda and Soulsborne games.

I've been showing this game off to friends since I picked it up last week and they all want a taste, being both Elderscrolls and Soulsborne (and Dragon Age) fans, I think it'll rack up a word of mouth cult following pretty easily, hell I don't usually buy a game at full price or in alpha.

I see the concern you have and it's a valid one in the face of Bethesda's brand recognition, so, I guess go share this with your friends and rave about it, let's hope it works out.

Man i started playing a bit on 0.9 but i'm having performance issues like rubberbanding on movement /running. I wanna keep on playing but then I also read about the wipes, which is fair for the amount of fixes they need to implement. Can't wait for 1.0

I think even if it doesn't get as popular as a AAA game backed by a multi billion dollar company feeding us the golden spoon of nostalgia it'll still be a gem worth enjoying and coming back to. The oblivion remaster got the nostalgic coomsumers spending an outrageous 50$ on a remake of an old game, not only that it is a bastardise remake of the originals with unnecessary changes like that delusional bodytype from the original male/female. This game however is the wait I'm looking forward to

Master piece, don't make me laugh, that thing is a POS and trash as hell. just like TLOU.

Morrowind is a masterpiece. Daggerfall is a masterpiece, hell id even call skyrim a master price due to the ass loads of mods for it, including the upcoming skyblivion that's gunna make Bethesda "remaster" look like hot trash.

Tainted is straight up better then that "remastered" trash. Stop eating slop.
