Playing off GOG I think the game got into an issue

I have the main quest that says Galadarel would be interested to know captain Breanna and the other guy are dead? if I do that which I did,it says "Failed" and the game continues, now I re-loaded the game so If I choose not to tell him they are dead I end up fighting Galadarel, and killing him, the game continues and says "The deed is done, I can now tell report to the captain" but Captain Breanna is dead due to an event earlier in which he attacked me first so I had no choice to kill him and his guys. Both quest markers are now either Galadarel (who is dead) or Breanna (who is dead) I cant seem to do anything here, also i like to keep a backup from 30-45 mins ago to rely on prev saves and my prev save disappeared so the only save I now have is 2:30 PM which is 4.5 hours ago which is way back?

unless I go to the town? Both quest markers say "The horns of the south quest"
pointing to Galadarel or Breanna butt hey are both dead!
this sounds like something went wrong? something stuffed?

If I tell Galadarel Breanna is dead then the main quest fails so I dont know what to do here, i am thinking maybe I should just fail the mission and continue on with the game?

sounds like the game got itself into a knot?
I Might have to go from my 2:30 game which was 4.5 hours ago because something stuffed up and dont know what to do? I cant speak to Breanna he is dead, and Galadarel is dead too!

you probably used either the thorn helmet from prolog or root boots from teh keep.
these atk everyone around you, inclueding neutral npcs.

the only other way is running around with a bounty for stealing, assault or murder...


the mainquest itself is structered pretty good,
- you either help the captain who sends you to kill galahad or you
- you turn against the captian n go have a chat with galahad
- captain sends you, you talk with galahad n return to slaughter the captain

evrything else requieres the player to do sth stupid.^^

never the less, that part of the mainquest now is broken for you.
what you can do is attempt to pull excalibur anyways, and spam healing potions.
skips basicly to the end of v0.9
final actions in v0.9 are:
pull excalibur,
do the excalibur dungeon,
fight that giant ghost that follows you ( will manifest once hte dungeon is done )

I turned against the captain and went to Galadarel but when I told him Breanna is dead as per quest description, it fails...so I reloaded and attacked Galadarel, and his knights, they are all dead, so now Breanna is dead and Galadarel dead.

I dont fancy starting again after getting far, I figured its now broken, either way the quest failed for me or broke? I still have the excalibur quest yes but not sure how to do that or where it is...i can revert back to 5 hours ago but it means my levelling up, armour etc will be lost

i didnt use thorns, I just followed the quests and Breanna and his men attacked me so I killed them. Now the main quest is stuffed except Excalibur

I think my problem started when I said I dont like traitors DIE, and slayed Breanna and his men as they attacked me, so when I slaid Galahed guy it caused the game to stuff up.
ive reloaded the game from 5 hours ago, a pain but im gonna choose the other option and say "All Right" and not die
