Each time we restart the game movement keys are scrambled weirdly and need to be rebound.
I predate the wasd standard (which I hate).
A = Jump, S = Backward, D = Left, F = Right G = Crouch, Spacebar = Secondary Fire/Block, Left Mouse = Fire, Right Mouse = Move Forward.
In this configuration you fingers rest naturally next to each other rather than all scrunched up for wasd.
and good availability to del, end, pgdown and the numpads.
This is especially crucial when it comes to moves that involve pressing both the left and right mouse buttons at the same time, which is essentially impossible on many trackpads.
Yes, I have noticed this as well. Very annoying.

unfortunately we're unable to rebind the mouse buttons that way, definitely not before 1.0 launch, it's unfortunately buried so deep in the code that it would require a tremendous amount of time/debugging/etc. from our programmers and QA that we just can't "afford" to do it at the moment
i'm not saying it's not a plan for the future, not promising anything - i'm not technical, i don't know what exactly needs to be done, i just know it's really hard for some complicated reasons
