Starting Reference for .9 and possibly 1.0
Hello :) Unfortunately I don't have the time to be making guides so I decided to make a post to give basic guidance on starting out in this game. I am encouraging others to add to this post as there is certain things I do not know and or can't find

One example is the Heal Spells. Supposedly there is two heal spells in the game according to a Youtube video I watched. One is a flat heal while the other is a HoT. I was unable to find these at the location the Youtube video specified

---

At the very start your dialogue options determines your starting build. Unfortunately there is no details that I can find of that indicates how much 1 point in a particular skill affects your overall build but you can at least pick wisely

Early on Magic and Stealth are not viable options. This is because Melee and Ranged both will out damage the Attack spells you will get. Also, you get these spells for simply completing the tutorial zone

This means if you are doing it just for RP or for fun then do whatever but.. If you are like me who plays with optimization in mind, this means most picks in these options are just bad. They should not be picked and exist imo. If you are going purely for optimization, The I was hunting then using the Furs.. That is for now the absolute best imo

----

Once you get to the first "town" there is a Blacksmith with a few recipes and hopefully this will further help with your decisions.. And also show what I mean by a lack of optimization with this game

There is a 2H spear in these recipes which is 22-27 damage base with a 20 SP cost. The 2H Axe is a 4 Strength requirement, does 29-33 damage base with a 27 SP cost. The 1H Sword is 16-18 with a 12 SP cost

Though not a recipe you can buy a 2H sword with a 5 Strength Requirement, 28-30 damage and 22 SP cost

What this all means: Based on these numbers, Dual Wield is not efficient. If you plan to go 2H, the 2H Sword or Spear is likely the most efficient. It depends on play style

Once you reach this town, grab everything and start questing.. You will now be leveling up and needing to make decisions

As mentioned, Stealth and Magic early on is not great. I would say from levels 1-15, ignore Perception and Spirituality. Put a low Priority on Dexterity. Focus on Endurance and Strength

For skills.. Put a focus on Crafting, Weapons, or Dash. Dash is your friend very early on simply because the Shields won't block all damage. Add in the fact I can't find the heal spells and you should get it

----

Knowing Dash is your friend, the last thing I can share is the armor weight. The total weight of all pieces of armor you wear will determine which category you fall under. Their bonuses are:

Light - Mana Regenaration, Stamina Regen, Attack Speed, Casting Speed, Dash Speed, Movement Speed multiplier +20%. Dash Counter 3

Medium - No change to Mana regen, Stamina Regen, Attack Speed, Casting Speed, Dash Speed or Movement Speed. Dash Counter 2

I don't have any armors to push me over to the Heavy category so I am not certain if the guides I see are accurate on what it does precisely. I can see Medium and Light though.. Light is how I handled all of my levels playing in .9

----

This is all I can think of to help the new players at this time. Does anyone else have anything to add?
