This vs the board games - best way to avoid spoilers?
I have both board games (the Fall of Avalon and Kings of Ruin), the first one with all three Kickstarter expansions. I haven't played any yet. Is the video game based on any of those specifically? If so, will playing it ruin the tabletop experience? If so, what is the best order to play to minimise spoilers?

The game is based on The Fall of Avalon, how close to the story is anybodies guess
Not really. Sure, it will spoil a bit of lore and setting, but overall, its not a lot. This game is set a few years before the events of the FoA campaign of the boardgame, uses mostly different characters and revolves around a wholly different story, you wont spoil any of the major plot points.
Also just plays on a tiny part of the island, so theres only the southern most tip of the boardgame map… its about 3 cards (4 if you count the island asylum.) - Horns of the South(which might include grubwood), Cuanacht (potentially also including Warrior fair) and forlorn swords
You can safely play this (and Conquest, for that matter) without spoiling any of the boardgames :)
