Scorching blaze doesn't deal damage anymore
Hello, I recently found the scorching blaze spell to use on my mage build. Tooltip damage for the light attack is shown as 188-235 and I've been oneshotting basic monsters with it for an hour or something, until it stopped dealing any damage - except that it still seems to apply burn.

Nothing in my equipment, status, or attributes changed since as far as I can tell. for comparison my torrent spell, with much lower damage of 36-43 on the light attack, still chunks common monsters for half their life or more.

Anything I might be missing or potential solutions?

Maybe something corrupted your Game.... Do you got some older Quick Saves or Auto Save Files? From the Time aorund where it worked? If so try loading one of them and Check if the Issuse is present there aswell.

Also try veryfing the Game Files. Another Thing you could try, if you got more as one Scorching Blase Copy, to drop it entierly and force the Game to load something, like entering a Dungeon, than go back to your Chest and take the Copy of the Spell and check if the Copy works and so on.

Sadly i never heard that before, so i cant say anything of that helps for sure. Just Ideas.
One other thing to take note is the enemy type your using it against. I found the spell was literally blowing enemies into the air, but when I used it on those exploding dudes with the big red sack on their shoulders it literally did no damage at all.
Adding to what was said before drowners wearing that conch/shell armor take no fire damage from that spell but still get burn applied.

Yeah it had nothing to do with enemy types or immunities, just 0 damage against anybody.

Anyway it works now: like suggested above I verified game files, sold the spell to a vendor, waited for the vendor to go to sleep, played in a distant zone and entered caves/dungeons to load new areas, then eventually bought the spell back.

Unfortunately I'm not sure which of these steps "fixed" it

But at least we found some way to Fix it and can assume its a Bug.
So the best Course of Action to assure this doesnt happen in the 1.0 Version, would to report the Bug.

yeah I already did
I've had my best luck with ice spells. Although I have to admit that when someone goes flying into the sky it's kinda fun.
This happened to me, I just dropped it and picked it up and it worked again.
