If you look at the Crafting Screen you will basicly Notice the Following Things:
Left Side: List of all your Craft Recipes, Aswell as some Sorting Options above it.(Basicly True for every Kind of Crafting, only small Difference is Cooking, since there you can throw Stuff together to get "random" Stuff instead of Specific Recepies).
Middel of the Screen: This will Show you requiered Ingridients, aswell as 2 Numbers next to them. First Number is the Ammount you use for the Craft if you click the "Craft" Button.
Second Number is the Ammount of Material you Posses.
Directly next to the Material Picture you see a little +/- Allowing you to Change the Ammount of Material you wish to Use. You can use the Minimal Ammount or you can use more.
Right Side: Here you see most Prominent the Item you try to Craft. Above that you find % Numbers, which tell you the Possible Outcome for the Craft you are doing.
You aswell see on which "Level" you try to Craft the Item. Basicly if you Craft Higher Quality the Item is shown as for Example: Corps Eater Rag(low Quality) or Corps Eater Rag +1, aswell as the Stats the Item of that Quality would posses.
Here is the Kicker, the lower your Crafting Skill, the Higher the Ammount that you Produce Trash or an extremly Low Quality Item.
But you can "Counter" this Mechanic and create Better Stuff, by basicly Throwing more Material into the Craft. You will see that the % Numbers in the Above Right Side will Change. They will get Higher for a Positiv Outcome and lower for a Negativ Outcome, until you throw enought Material in to Raise the Quality of the Item. This Step will make the "Negativ Outcome" a bit more Likely, but on the Other Hand you get a Better Quality Item.
But you can Allways Throw even More Material Into it until you basicly reach the Maximum Quality, with Best % CHances, you are allowed to Craft.
That or lock picks, but be aware that a stack of lock picks will also hold a hefty weight in your inv as well.
Iron arrows > copper arrows, copper i think of more as a upgrade material, iron is more abundant and iron arrows hit harder.
I don't use wood arrows, so the ones i find from bandits tend to be sold along with my broken arrows i pick up.
If they would be able to be remade back into iron arrows i would bother but they sell for 1 gold, and a stack of them collect up pretty quick without me noticing. So they fuel upgrades or relic slots or weight reducing for now.
