I'm stuck in a 1280x1440 resolution with black bars that cuts the screen and i cannot access the right click arrow to change to a bigger resolution/nor full screen.

Tried to find the cfg in the game files but there's only a boot but no command related to the resolution.

Would've been nicer if the menu was a scrolling menu instead :(
One of the biggest issue ive been having is not being able to complete missions cause i accidentally already did the objective. Example when i first started i killed Finger less colm before i got the bounty to and now can no longer complete the quest cause ive killed him already. had the same thing happen with the last voyage quest i already grabbed the items from the chest but when i got to the point where i needed to actually go to the wreck it says to open the chest even though i already got the items from it.
enemy/monster damage is insane I think. EVen having a shield barely stops any damage it seems like.
Several quests are bugged in the Horns of the South region after the update. Just chose to restart from the prologue and I'm getting stuck on a couple not updating.
Things I have liked. with this update
1. The Stash, I am not 100% if it is new for this exact update but man its nice.
2. Stats feeling much more powerful and a real choice now
3. The lighting looks great
4. Magic feels better and actually usable.
5. I see more armor with stats on them keep it up.
The oh god why did you make these changes? its so much worse than last patch why?
1. Did hard mode always just double enemy damage? I never felt a need to play on normal last few patches, now I do. 80% outbound and take double. Do you think maybe 150% might be better here? 200 feels overtuned.
2. Parry was perfect before why did you change it? I saw something with risk/reward in the patch notes and blocking was already risky. Missing the parry took 1/4 your hp. Parry use to feel GREAT, now I absolutely hate it and the benefit it provides is terrible. I parry in a Dark Souls I get a kill or half their health in here they stagger a bit and 7-8 parries later I get a free hit. Please just change it back...
3. Relics were shall we say over corrected? 1-2%... Really? what the hell am I going to do with 1% more damage? Relics were fine, just keep scaling on damage life steal off the relics and give us back 10-20% relics
4. And again parries... Enemies do feint attacks in this game it is very common for me to get feinted and just get one-shot, also they have a CD, that is just unnecessary. stop it change parries back. Timed blocking felt soooo good.
5. The dodging CD is insanely long. You have to run away from enemies as they will attack inside of the cd and dodging already costs a lot. Just do the same thing every other game that wanted to cap your dodge count did. 3 dodges 1 second break. You want to prevent spam not, I am fighting one guy and he attacks faster than my dodges regen, This isn't Ultrakill please stop.
Things that I feel should be changed.
1. Why doesn't healing myself with magic increase my magic skill still? Skyrim had this figured out over a decade ago.
2. Those floating ghost Wyrdlings spawn in pairs, absolutely slap, and they give out the same exp as wolves and drop absolutely nothing... why who?
3. Can we get a way to increase the ability to use heavy armor more than 3%? Give us a Ring of Favor and Protection or Havel's ring just let me use the knight armor it looks so nice with the warm cloak. Let endurance give us like 1 point or something. As we grow as characters we should be able to use Heavier armor and still medium roll.
4. Make kindling the fire cost 10 and identifying items 2. If I spend 1.5 enemies of resources and get an egg or rotted meat I just wont engage with the system and will sell those 1 lb trash heaps.
5. Are Humans the only ethereal spiderweb source? Why not undead or wolves or every night enemy? Just make them aggressive and have glowing white eyes easy.
6. Just improve this identifiable items system I have gotten nothing good from it at all and it feels completely unneeded and useless in its current form. Baseline it should drop upgrade materials and scale up from there.
Saw the update to 0.7, played the demo and immediately bought your project. What caught my eye at first (I mean the shortcomings, in general the project is very much liked and interested): no Russian language (I suggest you add a crooked machine translation, will take a little time, but will improve perception for Russian-speaking players); I would like to see fsr 3 or frame generation from nvidia, which will be in my opinion a quick way to solve problems with performance and optimization.
Like, they delete my saves.....
What in the searing hell is going on here!? Are we in kindergarten!? This is a single player offline game and you're implementing a "banned words" stance when typing a save game name!? I can't even use "Knights" in a savegame name as it has 3 letters "♥♥♥" in it that somehow offends the game. Not that it's any of your business if I used the whole n-word, something I would never do, but as a full grown adult, stay off my spelling.

Also, I can't even swear while using the f-word in a save name!? REALLY!? :shit:
Some relics are just a joke, like +1% damage, what's the point of using them?

Cobweb - I tried farming this thing to identify unidentified items, of which I have accumulated much more than cobwebs themselves. I spent 600+ cobwebs, and the only useful item I got was a figurine of Menhir, the rest was just random junk like ingredients.

Honestly, after this, I lost all interest in doing this because it takes time and isn't worth it. I think the cost of identification needs to be reconsidered, make it 1 cobweb or even free
Overall the update is very nice. Getting stable frames and performance (after some setting tweaks) and the combat is fun. The characters themselves are good, even if the whole "it's a dark fantasy so every dude has a rough deep voice" trope gets a bit old. My main gripes are:
  • The combat damage approach seems very binary: enemies either do negligible damage or one shot me. Regardless if I'm wearing heavy armor or light armor, I still feel like enemy damage is either inconsistent or just wildly over-tuned for some areas. This completely discourages me to play with heavy armor as if I'm going to be 1 or 2 shot by most enemies, I might as well be more mobile and not deal with the unnecessarily severe penalties of heavy armor/being in the 'heavy' encumbrance state. Heavier armor play styles, I think, need a better incentive to exist, as the dodge distance and stamina regen debuffs are too severe and don't offer worthwhile trade-offs.
  • The ethereal cobwebs you get from enemies at night seem pointless. The only two uses I've found so far are making my bonfire safe at night or 'discovering' mystery items, which also seem pointless as all I seem to get from those are random loot drops (e.g., whiskey, food, etc.). As for making bonfires safe, it's something I never felt myself needing as the fast travel markers are fairly widely spread and easily accessible in most places, and nighttime itself isn't really that dangerous.
  • The bonfire needs to be something I can't place down infinitely. It should use some kind of resource that's not so rare it makes the mechanic annoying, but not so common that I can get a level up, place bonfire, use that level up, then move on without a thought in my tiny little pea-brain.
  • The level up only at a bonfire mechanic seems like a pointless slow down that doesn't add any meaningful gameplay impact. Just let me level up so long as I'm not in combat, or make the placement of bonfires something I can't do so lackadaisically.
  • Upgrading gear should not have chances to fail. It only encourages me to save scum, as I'm not going to waste a hefty sum of money on something that won't guarantee me something worth while in return.
  • The 3 dodge limit mechanic seems unnecessary, especially with how often enemies can attack spam (looking at you filthy mages and your stupid fireball). The whole stamina management mechanic also seems harshly punishing given how quickly it can get depleted. Doubly so when enemy NPCs don't seem to lose stamina when they attack.
Apart from those gripes, I do like the concepts of the game and am excited to see where it keeps going :)
Good Day Dear Devs, my first actual post/reply cause I love this game. Just Finished multiple saves from prologue so here I am. From my head/memories so it's not as organized sorry.

Here's my feedback.
The not so good part first aka my complaints , I'll do my best not to spoil anything since some of it is spoilers. sorry newcomers.

1. The New Parry
Parry is now very lacking I feel, the animation is cool but the benefit of it is lackluster, you parry and it barely affects the enemy stamina while taking a decent chunk out of your own, granted there are perks/skills for it but it still very much high risk, low reward as to what your intention for it was.

I would suggest a higher stamina depletion of the enemy.

2. Bonfire Identify System.
The Cobweb drop rate/amounts is hardly enough when you first started out (In Cuanath, it's slightly better), The Cost is too high to start even identify, and the fact that the identify is not permanent is mind boggling and a major unnecessary time sink. I understand/can get behind the RNG part as you can get permanent upgrade ( HP, Mana, Stamina, Armor, M.Armor) which means you can scale high af so long as your lucky or have the will to farm for hours (like me).

The cost is lowered for both Fuel and Identify.
A NPC that could help with Identify in each region is also good, like the A's ball voice.
A Quest early-mid game on the 1st region that gives a unique item to grant us the Permanent Fuel Upgrade.

3. Fast Travel points.
Some travel points is just outright bad. Specifically the one in Peninsula near the Flooded Mine where Cinnamonsage (my favourite merchant, cause my boi don't sleep) is. Especially now that at night Wrydspawn can exist. It is infuriating ( It's funny af sometimes), you tp there and just get JUMPED by multiple wrydspawn that can whoop you to kingdom come AND with the drowners as well. So you just TP there and get ganged on.
There is another one at the bridge where there's a lot of enemies and near where Sentia the Giant named enemy is. That is is kind f'ed up as well sometimes where the archer sometimes see you and sometimes not, granted it's a little better since you spawn with no enemies behind you.

Move the TP point of Peninsula near Cinnamonsage and not near any enemies.
The bridge one , a little more to a corner would be nice.

4. Spells.
I find it a bit annoying with such an amount of spells you are limited to use like 4 or 8 max (absolute madlad if whoever go 8 spells btw) cause you will run out of mana unless you chug mana potions like a champ.
(No matter what role I min-max to, my Equip Slots are just)
{1 handed weapon and shield/ duel wielding}
{Bow}
{2 handed weapons}
{spells usually the heal unless I'm playing a mage}

Healing Spells should still cost a Equipment slot since it uses both hands.
A Unique slot for one handed spells, 2-4 spells can be use in combat at a time.
Maybe we can use the current way the slots spells are used for early game, then later on we met a druid or a master mage that grant us a quest which will reward us the unique slot for spells.
PLEASE GIVE ME BACK THE LIGHT SPELL, THE TORCH FLASHBANG ME AT TIMES!!!

5. Recipes/Books for Weapon and Armor.
It's not enough even for early game unless I'm dumb and didn't explore enough. (very likely)
The only recipe I got for armor are The chuuni ah Shadowblade armor. Warm Coat, seagull mask, Knight Set and the leather set if I choose the correct starting dialogue.
I only got the Barbarian Axe recipe from the quest from on of the Dal Ritha.

Have the blacksmith who I already forgot his name sells some weapon and armor recipe/books and later on expand his inventory when you clear one of the sidequest where he gets a helper.
Just scatter them in the world.

6. The Weapon/Armor Upgrade System.
Correct me If I'm wrong but the Old one was a confirm upgrade so long as you have the materials right ? But the current one is by chance at 50% chance for a +1 which is kinda bad, worse even. Especially with how scarce the Sharpening Stone is. Also the cost is kinda high, 1250 per upgrade. Unless I'm missing critical information.(very likely)

Gives us a way to craft sharpening or let us buy them.
Make the S.Stones drop from Human enemies that are Knights and above.
Pricing of the upgrades increment instead of static.

7. Stamina/Stagger System
For Enemies It's very.... meh. They just go down tired and we just whale on them with our weapons a few times. It makes the cqc kinda boring. For players it's also kinda meh. I feel like we shouldn't be able to move just like the enemy to have a little more importance on the stamina system since we are graced by not using them when running and jumping (NICE).

Implement a Stagger attack/Execute for enemies and players. ( If enemies ran out of stamina, they are fked but the players also get the same treatment. Both enemy and player can be staggered and executed for messing up. I feel like this can be part of the high risk high reward play style that can be synergies and well pair with the parry system.
Special Execution for bosses would be nice, G and P should get one but P has no stamina so hmm also the S.W.

8. New Enemies

- The Wrydspawn
GOD THESE FKERS I SWEAR. They give you for the most part next to nothing with how annoying they are at early stages. Not alot of exp and if your lucky some Unidentified Items. God forbid if you TP to the Peninsula at night and is unlucky. They also spawn in places of highwayman and desperate enemies at night which sucks cause sometimes I'm just there to get some exp and items for gold and I just meet these annoying ah no face ah. Ehem, I really hate them.

The taking over common enemies is bad, I rather they spawn along with the transformed enemies.
Boost the exp rate by a bit. No drop rate is fine cause it make sense.

-P
She should have a stamina bar, would make the fight more interesting. also her design is kinda hmmm considering the note she drops.

-Priestess
Kinda want more version of them considering P is more melee, maybe one more unique priestess that is a knight order that is more associated with P.

- The Transformed
is what I call the humans who at wryd night just you know... transformed. They do get a headache first though. They're cool but would like the animals version as well.

Especially the deers , be cool if they that are passive at day become aggressive at night.

9. Quest Explanation for the Wrydness bit of SPOILERS
Forgive me but I forgotten the name of the quest, but the old wrydness is the big black fog that you have to go in to initiate a quest chain from A's orb voice that would lead to the great mine correct ?
I can't seem to trigger that quest anymore with the new wrydness, is this intended ?

10. Player Model
I have more say about the female model if anything.
It is very weird in terms of proportion, I get that women have more thickness from the hip compared to men but holy this kinda off for me, the muscular option for females is very off as well, we do have female bodybuilders IRL and even women who are gold medalist Olympians, maybe some inspiration from there perhaps ? Granted this has no merit whatsoever considering this game plays mostly from a first person but hey I like it when I make and imagine a giant muscular barbarian woman in heavy armor going around whooping and taking things in a quest for Avalon.
Onto the male Models. Overall is alright
Beards are goofy but kinda make sense, would love to have sone normal ones like a
5 o'clock shadow

11. Leveling only by bonfire is kinda slow, prefer to do it whenever like before.

12. The Dodges limit are kinda ehh, I rather the dodge cost is increased.

That's all for the complaint's part, now FORWARD TO THE GOOD SHXT.

NEW MODELS ARE BETTER LOOKING
(Faces for both genders are nice, I like the fact that the faces are handsome and beautiful in their own right and not extremely coded for modern beauty. except the females body proportion one are kinda goofy imo)

NEW ATTACK ANIMATION AND PARRY ANIMATIONS YEEEEEEEEEEEE BOI

THE UPDATED PERK AND SKILL SYSTEM IS A MAJOR IMPROVEMENT. SO MUCH DETAILS
(this is the third iteration I believe ? Good Job Devs)

LIGHTNING IMPROVEMENT, IT FEELS BETTER NOW.
(Though the underwater part need some touch.)

NEW REGION THAT IS ABSOLUTELY STUNNING TO LOOK AND EXPLORE

NEW ARMOR,WEAPONS

NEW ENEMIES TO FIGHT
( AND MALD OVER, I'M LOOKING AT YOU WRYDSPAWN YOU MOTHERFU-)

Overall I had a great time with this update and guys this is still Early Access,
We (the gamers) willingly purchase this game knowing it's still in development and invest our time cause we believe it has potential so don't go too hard on the game ok.

Probably should've listed the good things first but I am very sleep deprived and tired so before I go Imma list the bugs I encounter below because I'm kinda lazy to switch to the bug section. Sorry Devs.

I'm looking forward to the next update Devs, and please don't rush things, I'm ok with waiting for a few years even for this project of yours to be complete. it's been wonderful so far.

Have a Good Night Everyone.

The Bugs and Errors

The Silk Road and The Last Voyage questline are currently bugged and cannot be completed.

The Silk road progressions stops after saving the dal ritha woman and collecting the sigil, going back and talking to ortaih after collecting the previous objectives yield no results despite having results in the last version.

The Last Voyage gets stuck at the crash site even after collecting the books and coordinates for the cave, it don't do nothing even if you visit the cave before or after speaking to Lady Elaine.

One of the Guard NPC leading to Keeper Dan often gets stucked. The AI route seems to be stop permanently at certain intervals going down the stairs and can be reset/fix upon fast travel or exiting a room.

Some Spells don't work.
Can't remember the names, but it's mostly the better healings spells and something with spears or bolt spells that the animation is triggered, mana is consumed but no magic is casted that affect/damages the target.

Arrows don't hit at times.
I tested this at close ranges, sometimes the arrow you shoot won't hit, the arrow count will be reduced, animation of pulling an releasing goes but no arrows shot and or arrow flies but no damage is received by the target.

The Cows in Cunaith is kinda goofy~~~ Get stuck in some structure often the tp point.

Bags drop from inventory sometimes jump quote a distance away after exiting inventory menu.

Is this game going to be mod friendly? It looks like this might scratch my Elderscrolls itch.
At this stage the relics are useless (1% damage...), the campfire is useless, the identification of objects is useless (trash items), the torch has much too strong and unnatural lighting. Also in several hours of play I have never come across a single horse?

I also had several quest bugs preventing me from completing them. That is to say that I sometimes discovered things before having the active quest (for example finding the Andraste and looting the chest before having done the museum stage).

The difficulty balancing needs to be reviewed. I'm in hard mode and either the enemies are too weak or they one shoot me.

There's also some music I loved that disappeared (or it was used for the new region I haven't visited yet).

Otherwise overall there is a big evolution and I really like this game.
Back after another 10 hours or so now with more info and less maldy.
1. So You can increase your armor weight cap. Its tied to your encumbrance. It would be nice if that was said somewhere.
2. I explored the first region heavily and I can't find more than a few static rope spawns and no vendors that sell rope. please add rope to a vendor maybe the guy in the fishing village? Its needed for crafting knight armor and boots
3. It has been brought up a few times but the % chance to upgrade is a bad idea. make it 100% and just make it cost +1 more stones each time. NOT x2 +1 1,2,3,4 not 1,2,4,8,16.
4. Please Normalize damage, damage values are absolutely wild. I did some testing at level 30 ~100 hp and on hardmode anything humanoid that ins't undead will 1 shot you. Deranged Infantrymen took 1/4 my hp when I blocked it a 95% damage reduction. So either physical damage reduction is somehow bugged or they do 2000 damage per swing. which leads me to my next point.
5. It is entirely possible to hit 100%+ physical damage reduction in this system. Its flat additive 1 armor = 1% reduction. Maybe have an armor cap? It is also fairly easy to hit 100% magic damage reduction once you hit the second zone with like 10 spirit. At 100% you do actually take 0 damage outside of certain circumstances. At night wolves were doing 1 damage to me but not during the day.
6. Keep this interaction I love it. There is a perk where when you take damage you have 2 seconds to hit the enemy to heal for a flat percent. If the enemy has a dot on them it triggers the perk.
7. I have gotten several Wryd Essence items they say "enable fast travel" but cant be used and have a very placeholdery item image. Its like some eggs and a bottle of milk.
8. The soul stone item needs a rework. Healing for an amount and then breaking once I kill 10 guys is rather terrible. Just let it have hp mana and sp regen on kill, like 1% each or something. I know you guys like your single digit bonuses.
9. '3' whole percent armor weight reduction is entirely useless. Increase to 5,10,15 at least you are much better off putting those perk points into encumbrance increase of 20,40,60 It just does more math wise.
10. Way to many rings give entirely negligible bonuses. I am guessing we are going to get +X versions of them latter or maybe ring upgrading is planned for the future. Any bonus helps but only in a single drop in the bucket type deal. Only good ones so far have been 5% mana cost reduction and 2 or 3 % crit chance.
11. If possible add a mark for dismantle feature or just double how much items sell for. It is optimal to just dismantle almost everything and just make armor with the materials to sell. Too many steps to just make money.
12. PLEASE make chests containing unique loot look different than a wooden box. Make it metal, make it glow softly in the dark, ANYTHING.
13. Please make spell scrolls glow just a bit or look less flat something to help distinguish them from the debris of the environment. Same for permanent stat boosting items found in the world.
14. Just let me level up when I am not in combat. It just slows down pacing so much when I have to find somewhere not in town that is flat and not cluttered to sit myself down and put my 30th point in strength.
15. I had previously praised you guys for more stats than armor but the bonuses are so very generic. Maybe we will get something good later in the game but +X to X will get boring. How bout something like Crown of Frostfire: dealing burn also deals frost or stam on kill please I need my stam on kill back and not locked to a 82 sp weapon good god man.
16. More magic heavy swords the move set is great but I have found nothing note worthy with a stat in that weapon class.
17. More strength perks please. The tree just has less options than the others. More Uhga Buhnga pls.
18. Add speed increasing perks to Dex or End or Str. I wana go fast and the horse controls baaaaad. Just let me mouse turn not tank tread controls.
19. Armor crafting is inconstantly worded verse everything else. I can craft a common armor piece and its identical to a normal one found in the wild minus the word 'common'. However the higher version are just +1 or +2 with uncommon and exquisite but when upgrading them it will say exquisite <full item name> +3 on the first upgrade. But after upgrading it will still just be exquisite <full item name> with no +X on the end. Just have us craft -1,0,+1,+2 versions no need for fancy wording unless they start at +0 for upgrading.

I am still having fun and I hope my reporting of quest bugs ingame are helpful. This game has so much potential and the world music and themes are great. I really want this game to do well and be something I can recommend to my friends. When you guys get a chance please fix the ton of quest that are broken in the horns of the south. Silk road, No Face, Last voyage, and the meet my in the wrydness one that opens the great mine are all very broken. I only complain because I care enough to write an essay about how I feel the game could be polished even better.
Please fix the current bugs
I already know others have reported they have completed the game currently: 0.7, and reported there are 14 quests they could not complete. They are likely broken. See below:

[Lunatic Heretic May 31 @ 5:32pm

Im lv47, i have explored the entirety of both acts, i currently have 14 quests that i cannot pursue, no dialog with npcs, no targets to kill, no places to loot, these quests are just incomplete or bugged.]

In a response to doodlepigs the OP'er a few days ago.

My issue is that, I am trying to upgrade weapons and armor at the Horn. The first time (+1) is $1250, and 50% chance. It works like 90% of the time.
The second upgrade is $1750, and 25% chance. However, it works about 5% of the time. Lots of reloading because if it fails about 90-95% of the time. I had to "slow" reload and finally got it on the 13th or 14th time.
Make sure you watch closely, because when it fails, you lose that money, and if keep trying over and over you will lose all of your money.
I had 19 sharpening stones to start with +1. After that with 18, I lost all of them trying too upgrade Blood Oath. Of course I saves and then reloaded, so I had 18 again.
My concern besides playing through the early access 1 year ago and NEVER having this issue, is that if YOU SAY IT HAS 25% CHANCE AND IT DOES NOT. I once tried all 18 to upgrade to +2, and it worked at 28.12% per what the chance of success stated.

Please fix the quest bugs, and the upgrade untruth on percentage chance with 1 sharpening stone.
