2025...
Devs. Your competition just killed itself. Capitalize on it, fix the current issues in the game (delay if needed) don't be openly racist. Leave real world ideologies in the real world. Be clever with your marketing and 2025 will be even more fantastic for you guys.

I'm not too worried, the devs are Polish, not Californian. But yes the suicide of Avowed is a good thing for Fall of Avalon, it would have been the main competitor.

KCD might provide for some competition but I am excited for both.

All we can do is spread the word of Obsidian and avowed to the people not in the know. Obsidian went way too far, terrible people.

Obsidian has done a fine job of that already. I think all we can do as fans is help spread the word of Tainted Grail. People are pissed about Avowed and will be looking for an alternative

Its so funny because I heard about his game before but was not really interested. After seeing Avowed and the mess going on with that game I found this game again and I pretty much sold on 1.0 release once it gets out of EA.

Have you played the FREE demo? If not give it a try, you might see enough promise in the demo game play that you decide to support devs. But the last update IMHO was rushed, much new magic added and there is need for A LOT of balancing. I put the game down for now -- so I do understand 'wait and see'...

There are certain types of games I have no problem playing in EA like roguelikes, aRPGs,...etc but single player action RPGs I would much rather wait for the full experience.

Not only that, but the way Bethesda messed up Starfield bodes ill for TES VI as well. With big studios destroying themselves over ideological agendas, de-politicized and hard-working developers have a unique chance to shine. They need to grab this chance and become the next CDPR.

Honestly, what I've seen from this game so far is quite incredible, it's definitely TES-level material, it has the potential to be an AA game breaking into AAA territory. What they need is to keep going in the same direction, don't allow slip ups in quality, tighten the mechanics, maintain the atmosphere and lore, and they will have a hit possibly turning into a winning franchise like The Witcher.

After Starfield and how uninspired Avowed looks, this game is the only "TES-like" I have seen in recent years that seems like it will fill that void left buy morrowind, oblivion, Skyrim...etc. I'm not even interested in Elder scrolls anymore because of how soulless Starfield ended up being.

This game seems to be a passion project and the more I see of it the more I can't wait for the 1.0 release when its feature complete.

I felt like that after FO4. I hated it with a passion and lost all trust with Bethesda. I ended up buying Starfield but still have yet to play it. I am waiting on the community mods to fix it. It's crazy that mods like FO London, Enderal and Indie games like this are picking up the slack left by AAA devs.

What happened with Avowed? Also, what racism?

Youtube it. The creative art director went off the rails against Caucasians. Also they added personal ideologies into a game that required none.
