More games like this?
Fall of Avalon has reignited my love for the genre again. What other indie/small dev games are out like FOA?

Blacktail or Scorn maybe? Can always do their card game, but that's far from the first person monster destruction tho. :BL3Shrug:

Nothing else from indie devs.
Pretty much just the Elder Scrolls games (excluding Elder Scrolls Online). Which is why this game has such immense potential.

this caught my eye too, the game seems interesting and being elderscrolls and dark fantasy without being "souls like" or "roguelike" tagged for once

thats another good one. I would prefer more kings field like games but audience accessibility, elder scrolls diff slider among other things etc. like Lunacid, that game do it right

There's some pretty good free games, Nehrim and Enderal that use Oblivion and Skyrim engines respectively.

Monomyth looks good. I like the Destructible Door I saw in the video. In a game like this, I want that option when I'm out of lockpicks or can't find the key. Like that one dungeon in the middle of the map under the ogre. I want to smash that door so bad just to see what's in there. lol

Edit: I played the Monomyth demo. It's pretty good, actually. Entire game is 1 big map and you backtrack a lot to make sure you find all the door glyph things. All the chests in the game can be used as a stash too. And theres something about the level design that makes me think of the original Quake for some reason.

This is an awesome game with an incredibly low price tag. Still in EA but very stable and actively being developed - closer to finished at this point than not. Just bear in mind it's more similar to King's Field than Elder Scrolls.

King Arthur Knight's Tale by Neocore is really pretty awesome so far. It's an isometric game but it's right on point. I'd still consider Neocore pretty much "indie" as they, while doing very well, still haven't stepped up to the AAA leagues of devs like Bioware or Bethesda. However, Neocore makes AWESOME games. The whole Van Helsing series, King Arthur: The RPG Wargame and Martyr are all pretty great.
