Light Armor Sets?
Has anyone found decent light armor sets (either mechanically or design-wise?) I've only found the set that you can buy in the Horns (Traveler's iirc?) I'm trying to do a mage build but it's been rough going armor wise.

I took Sirja's cape, tunic & boots (all light) after washing up on the beach, added the bandages, trousers and a looter's mask as I found them on dead enemies.

Plus, if you get Endurance up to 3rd tier, there's a perk that gives +100 armor if wearing no medium or heavy pieces.

Thanks for the info! I didn't find Sirja, so I'll go back and look for her

Theres a few ones. Design wise, my favorite is the necromancer set. You can find it in two places.

Stat wise, theres 2 that comes to mind. Theres the priestess set. Decent stat for a light set. The other one is the assassin set without the boots (not sur why the boots are considered heavy boots).

Assassin's set sans boots and the perk that adds 100 armor points if youre wearing all light armor is the way. On the beach northwest of the sunken city.

I was just wearing the same standard bandit light stuff everyone else mentioned above, but I found the dead priestess by the shrine in the north area. Her light gear is somewhat better.

For a cloak you can make the "warm coat" you also make for the quest. it has 5 armour and can be sharpened to increase that.

How do you get to pick up the quest?

For those wondering, the necromancer set can be found early on. At the bottom of the Blood Lake near the Two Horns gateway towers, there is an entrance to an underground chapel. There the set can be found on a corpse. It's great for a mage (+mana, +mana regen), and actually for any light armor character. I'm still wearing the robe even after having found the assassin set.

Just to confirm that the assassin's set is still there - camp on the beach north of the sunken city, worn by an NPC assassin. However, I must say there are two things wrong with it: 1) the bonuses are minor (+3% sneak attack damage per item of clothing), 2) wearing more than three items from the set will push you over to Medium armor weight which carries significant penalties (unless you invest into skills that increase carry weight). Considering that the armor itself is classic light armor, this second point is particularly perplexing.

Still, it's a decent set, considering the other options available (none of which are particularly geared towards stealth).

There is no longer such a perk, so don't count on it. A light armor character isn't about tanking blows - you'll never have enough armor OR hitpoints for that. It's all about avoiding taking damage at all. So either ranged (easy), magic (medium), or stealth melee backstab (very risky, possibly worse than full melee warrior, as you will always be 1-2 hits away from death).
