Multiple romance??

Have the game on console, saw online that you could date multiple colonists, and started dating Eve. But can't seem to gift the Omni bouquet to the other colonist Linny who I have max friendship with. Is this a bug or did the information on the internet lie to me?? I just want an answer I am not too upset about it.
