Farm Animal Products

Is there a way to collect the animal products (milk and eggs) or is that still in the works? Clicking on the animal does nothing so i can't interact with it to raise it's happiness or collect and when i click on the picture in the barn/coop it only gives the option of remove or sell.

UPDATE:

You have to click on an empty box within your hotkeys bar before it gives you the heart option. Only then can you collect and show affection.
