Power at night not working as intended?
Im currently sitting on 32 batteries and that should give me a hold of 320 power at night but for some reason it seems to stall at around 240 and telling me im missing around 30-40 power, anyone else have this happen or its something im missing?

Figured it out. So every battery has a discharge rate at night. Your small battery can only discharge 10 at a time. So if you have 20 small batteries, your max discharge is 200. If you consume 300 at night, you will always be 100 short. The game needs to explain that.

Yea but i have 36 batteries and only have max consumption at 270 so the logic should be that i have 360 power when all batteries are fully charged but it just dont work

yeah it's broken

Seems pretty bad that something so essential to the game is broken no?

So the issue i had was that I had 0 power at night. My solar panels were able to charge the batteries, but I didn't have the batteries attached to the main power grid. During the day the machines were powered directly from the solar panels. My suggestion, is zoom in and look at the connections closely to see what is connected to what.

could be that the information of missiing is misleading, even if a factory for example is to short on ressources for production at this moment, it will not consume their needed power and it will tell you that the power is missing in that info tab, i mean check again if there are buildings without energy by the time you have that "missing", probably there is no such issue

do you have all batteries connected with one wire? than only the first batterie is discharging with the intended 10, and the otheres are charging the 1. . after I split mine to different powerpoles the night output rose

I have tried different approaches: Daisy Chain everything, have batteries in a row - it does not seem to make a difference as opposed to conventional power grid planning in series or in parallel. Something else is wrong.

My night time powergrid is showing a "shortage" despite all my efforts and an over-abundance of fully charged batteries.

Additionally, I do not really have big power failures but micro-stutters with the "not enough electricity to power the module" yellow warning signs popping up for a second or two and then disappearing again.

I call bug - something small is not working as intended.

this game seems to ♥♥♥♥♥♥♥ bugged i better wait another 2 months ...if im still interested at that time

Afaik, if you daisy chain the batteries, it'll drain the first one with the rest charging it. So if you have 4 connected to the main grid with the rest connected BEHIND it, it'll give ya 40 power.
Had the same problem in my base, started new battery chains and power started rising.

at this point i think we should ask "is power broken?"
because right now it daytime, i generate 1350, i have a max consumption of 500, and parts of my base, clearly connected to the grid, have power shortages.
at this point, its not just a cosmetic problem anymore. my life systems are failing and this is the point where i have to ask if this is even playable.

edit: nvm. it seems, unbuild wall inside an building that used to have power before building new walls will stop recieving power untill the walls are build.
bad enough, but workaroundable.

I just got done spending an hour addressing battery connects. I needed to separate blocks of batteries into individual grids using multiple poles. It worked and fixed my power issues, but I wish there was more of a tutorial to explain that separate grids is the answer.

Some batteries discharges faster than other when you consume more power than the limit.
Or
You've built new batteries during the night (they're not built loaded) ^_^

It's not a question, but a statement.

Power is definitely broken, in a number of ways.
