Which is only a problem after building new ones. The next recharge cycle should somewhat alleviate that.
How should I read this?
Edit: I have tried to get two separate grids now and it won't do it, so not sure what to do with that.
yes but doesnt it affect your "effiency" rate tho? For example if you had full power you could produce just as an example X amount of titanium bars.. but at only 1\2 power, because of the "draw" you are only producing half as much, when the power is low. Its not about whether some machine "will turn off" but rather mining and manufacturing at peak capacity.. anyway, im here because dsomething doesnt seem right and now my ADD has got me crisscrossing the game with multiple grids and wires and its still all ♥♥♥♥♥♥ up lol anyway, thats EA for ya
The number it is displaying is the shortage which is the difference between the consumes and max consumption I have no idea why this number is even here as it has no bearing on anything.
What you should be looking at is the consumes number and seeing if is close to to your battery output if it is then you are fine.
IF you can get your base running perfectly then consumes and max consumption will be the same and your battery output is enough to cover you will get a 0 next to power.

Please watch this video to understand exactly what each term means and is measuring;

When running on only batteries, you just need to take battery Total Output Capacity (hover over the battery to get this number) and compare it to two things in the power list (hover over the electrical symbol) to see if you have a problem.
The two things are: Max Consumption and Consumes.
Consumes is what you are actually running. If you don't have at least that much Total Output Capacity, running equipment turns off. If you are also using things that work at night (fuel generators, RTGs), those can provide some power.
You want Total Output Capacity of batteries to be 'greater than or equal to' Max Consumption of the grid .. IF .. you only use batteries at night. If you use another source of power that works at night (fuel generators, RTGs, etc) those can provide some power.
