Green Science - Sandbox

What am I missing? I don't have green science coming in and can't figure out where to find it.

You have to do some contracts. The payment for them can sometimes be a few months of the different sciences.

In sandbox the CRUST solutions is avaliable from the start- there is a tab in the market, and subtab with science points

It does not require unlocking contracts in sandbox

it requires that you unlock the tender system, which needs green science, which you don't have at the start. if there is a way to get it, it is much more likely you will expend all your research before you can get it. It is not immediately clear how to get the research you need when you need it. the whole thing needs to be reworked or finished.

Wasn't there some ingame dialogue around needing to buy the research for green science? Pretty sure. I don't believe I had to do any green research first to get the option to buy a few months worth.

I feel like i've bricked my save because i didn't have any green science and couldn't research the tender system which unlocks contracts.

nvm, turns out you can buy science for credits in the commerce centre, the far right option ( crust solutions) and then science points.

So yeah, turns out its part of the Contracts menus, but the explanation dialogue explaining that you have to do it that way doesn't happen until after you happen across it. Not ideal.

i'm in the campaign and have run out of cash and green science with no access to the tender system to thus unlock trading to get either. Definately needs a retool

Bit late to this party, but CRUST Solutions in the Commerce tab are available from the start of Sandbox. This is where you can purchase all the various Science points, including Green (the only way to get them from the very start). The Market, for buying and selling goods, comes later.

Yeah, I bought two of the green science options from the commerce tab, but they're not showing up. As Dirty Mike asked above, does it take time to kick in? I've unpaused and I'm waiting but the science isn't showing up. Feels like I wasted the money to buy them because nothing is happening.
