Cannot rescure the Hope-2 crew

Cannot rescue the Hope-2 crew. My problem is that I’m using the vehicle to scan, I find the location where the small dot is, I drive closer, do a new scan, and now it’s gone, completely gone.

Is this a known bug in the game, or am I doing something wrong? I’ve now watched YouTube videos and tried to do the same, but it disappears without a trace.

Scan again, then go back to base view or underground view then back to the rover, it should show up a ?, also keep your cargo truck close so you can pick them up right away. Also do not pick them up until right at dawn, for some reason when it is nighttime you cannot find them. This also gives you time to find Crew part 2.

I never got a quest of finding a second capsule after the first. This might be due to the storyline branch I am in? I agreed to help CRUST saving the crew.

There is point where you have an option to send the station some supplies (mostly components iirc) before the pod comes down. When you do that, they have the materials to repair a second, damaged pod for the other half of the survivors.

can't find them at night? That seems like a new one :/ I will wait and scan again in the morning I guess . WTH
