Help I have 1k slag on the floor and my drones won't do anything else.

Jumped into the freeplay after a little bit of story mode, no starting help. While I was panicking over going broke and failing contracts I let the Iron back up quite a bit. A bunch of slag built up in the machinery and when I disassembled the setup to scale up, I dropped over a thousand slag on the floor and the drones won't do anything else while I have my slag bulk storage loadable by drones. Is there a way to force delete the junk or am I stuck with it on the floor until my 10 drones finish cleaning up?

if you need them to do other things, forbid bringing resources to the slag dump for a while

Yeah, I just figured that out now. It's still on the floor. I assume it's just gonna stay until the drones clean it up?

Cargo drones which carry 10 (or up to 20) with upgrades can pickup dropped items rather quickly. Recommend you modify about half your drones for that. Items on the ground doesn't affect anything beyond visual clutter.

Oh Sweet! I haven't gotten to those yet. That'll be really handy. The visual noise of all the other crap on the floor is annoying. Those apparently aren't getting picked up until the slag is, or until I prioritize each one which is a bit tedious. Glad to know there is a solution.

This is a management issue, not a programming issue.

the forbid/allow system is confusing, its actually opposite from what the buttons say

Simple solution that works for me: Build a bulk storage for Slag, put the priority on high.
If the drones are not working on another high priority task, they will immediately pick up the slag and bring it to the storage. When done, just decrease priority to normal again
