Probably not since they sell the sound track.

Isn't there a streamer mode option?

Copyright for music in games is complicated. Sometimes the rights are only for playing the game, not broadcasting (streaming) the music, hence streamer mode in a lot of games where the copyrighted music is muted/skipped.

there is also alot of false copyright crap. i remember using the soundtrack for total annihilation and getting copyright struck by a brazilian screamo band that literally used one of the songs for the intro to one of their songs.

Come on man. if your a twitch streamer you should know to turn on streamer mode. If you dont you're taking a gamble on whether you get a strike or not.

A lot of streamers i watch will just turn off the ingame music all together and use something like pretzel rocks, or youtubes copy right free playlists.

Why I am asking here is because on a 9 hour stream of mine the same song was played several times without mute. But on the last 2 hours the first mute came and on the last hour again for 3 minutes each time.
The two songs are: "Deep Dreams - Wriddyl" and "Lsd -Dj MG"
Do these songs even exist in the game?
It's the first game where I got a warning from Twitch.
Where can I find this streamer mode ?
I stream with OBS Studio

Thx for help ;)

Streamer mode is in the options of the game. Not all games use licensed music, but those that do tend to offer a streamer mode option that plays the music without the licensed music.

If it's an "error" then unless you have a chunk of change to fight it, just suck it up and move on. I have seen claims made in "error" but given the system is geard toward the company claiming the strike, your usually better off just moving on

Thanks for the tip, I'll have a look in the game.
I think at least that it must be a bug, because otherwise the songs would always be muted and not random.
I streamed for 6 hours today, not a single mute.
Just wanted to ask here as a precaution.

mutes arent immediate, they can be applied doays or even weeks after you streamed
TheHavock Aug 3, 2024 @ 2:18pm
Up to now, I have always muted the sound directly after the stream.
Back then I got fed up at some point and switched off VODs and only left them on when I was streaming games without extra music.
That's why I was so surprised that I suddenly got a warning, which I usually only got with YouTube music in the stream.
But well, I'll just turn VOD's off again if need be.

The problem you'll have there is if you get caught streaming with copyrighted music. It wont just be a warning but a ban.

Use streamer mode and your good, if there is no streamer mode turn of the music

Funny thing, i activated the Streamer Mode in the Game and suprise, same promblem as before. The Song "Deep Dreams - Wriddyl" is the only one Track in this Game where Twitch says...Muted because copyright.
Is there a way to delete this one song in the game ?

At that point wouldn't it make more sense to turn off the background music completely and listen something similar that is royalty free?

This and the platforms usually don't bother to check if the claims hold even some merrit. I would bet 99.9% of all claims are treated as the streamer is the criminal - IE basically by default. What happened with innocent until proven otherwise? I guess we should start the witch hunts soon again and revery to the dark ages justice system... if the big tech have any say. They will ofcorse be the accuser, judge and executioner all in one

Thing is the way the DMCA is structured teitch and others have no choice in the way they respond. If they recive a claim they HAVE to remove the content immediatly or face legal problems of their own. It's upto the streamer to then respond to the claim and fight for it if they feel they're innocent.

If you're lucky they listen and if you are innocent remove the claim which then allows twitch and others to restore the content.

Most publishers will make you jump through a few hoops and then release the claim because your (probably) innocent and they dont want the cost of actually pushing it to court.

There are a couple though who will fight you tooth and nail, most of them are Japanese companies like Nintendo, Sega, Slap Com to name a few. They will fight you all the way, regardless of if your innocent or not, and win. Cause they dont care so much about money and just like to be the school bully
