Not me. I have 6 deposits now that have run out and produce nothing at all. Dismantle the extractor and there is nothing there anymore.
What is a precise way of knowing whether its empty from the info box for the extractor?
How I would like to see this entire issue fixed is by changing how colonists work (they should remove the need for CPU from assigned buildings), make things cheaper to build, add an option to build power and belts with resources only, add more prompts and goals before the laser mission to ensure the player has the production and storage to actually finish the mission and maybe make it possible to add your own contracts to the list that other AI companies could fill (this last one would be amazing honestly).
You have to mouse over the resource node your extractor is covering to get the total quantity, but your right if it is empty it just says no power, there is no indicator as to what is left on the extractor itself which is odd.
